There was a time when The Boy Scouts of America was a character builder and an instiller of all the elements of persona that go into sound moral and ethical behavior.
Those who were able to develop the True Grit rose to Eagle Scout and—as a fair generalization—became well-balanced effective community leaders.
If someone is bent on destroying America, taking down the Boy Scouts will be one of a multitude of goals.

In the 1980s, there were over 4 million enrolled in scouts. Today the woke organization boasts that it “serves just over 1 million young people, including more than 176,000 girls and teens.”
Since the Boy Scouts dropped the whole gender thing, they’re also dropping the ‘boy’ part of the name to become ‘Scouting America’. That sounds like a vacation organization, not a program to develop skills and leadership in boys, but the Boy Scouts aren’t that anymore and haven’t been in a while.
The people who most likely wanted to send their children to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts were more traditional. And many of them have split off into more traditional scouting groups. The Scouts are now a shell of what they used to be and adopting a generic name isn’t likely to fix that.
But officially everything is fine:
The organization began allowing gay youth in 2013 and ended a blanket ban on gay adult leaders in 2015. In 2017, it made the historic announcement that girls would be accepted as Cub Scouts as of 2018 and into the flagship Boy Scout program—renamed Scouts BSA—in 2019.
Roger Krone, who took over last fall as president and chief executive officer, said in an interview before the announcement:
In the next 100 years we want any youth in America to feel very, very welcome to come into our programs.
The truth that Krone is not saying is that it is his mission to kill scouting in his lifetime. His is the wrong attitude to fix what is wrong.

6,000 girls nationwide have achieved the vaunted Eagle Scout rank.
Further:
You could see a change in the attitude of some of the doubters who weren’t sure and they realized, wait, these kids are exactly the same, they just happen to have ponytails.
That’s right kids. Boys and girls are exactly the same. Except that the girls have ponytails.
But for those of us from the old school, THIS IS NOT RIGHT.
Again, the liberals have improperly “fixed” the wrong problem, and the result is worse problems.
The correction for an inferior Girl Scouts of America program (and perhaps a Trans Scouts of America program) was not to make them part of a superior Boy Scouts of America program.
The bleeding-heart libs have all but ruined another superb element of the American culture.

The Boy Scouts of America must be added to the Fix List for President Trump’s next term of office.
The name Scouting America, ponytails, race riot merit badges, and developing American flag burning skills will swiftly kill the organization for sure.
Final thoughts: The Boy Scouts’ participation will not be improved by a name change. What the organization that is as much a part of American culture as “Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet,” truly needs is a powerful infusion of Conservatism. Liberalism screwed up the Boy Scouts just like it has screwed up everything else it touched in America.
