Western World Beware: Iran Elected A New “Reformist” President in Preparation for Trump’s Return

The Obiden Regime wanted a nuclear deal with Iran. Instead, the Islamic terrorist state dragged out the process and made more and more demands while starting wars all across the Middle East.

This from frontpagemag.com.

Tehran, Iran, with the Elburz Mountain range in the background.

Then, suddenly, the puppet politician and his chopper went down, and, lo and behold, the Mullahs picked a new president who is a ‘reformer’ and wants to reach out to America to bring back a nuclear deal.

What are the odds?

As Robert Spencer stated on Jihad Watch:

No one can run for the presidency of Iran without Khamenei’s approval.

Iran’s constitutional body, the Guardian Council, has confirmed the victory of so-called “reformist” Masoud Pezeshkian, who will now succeed the late hardline President Ebrahim Raisi, but expect little change.

We the People are going to hear much in the media about Iran’s president-elect Masoud Pezeshkian, but remember it’s the Islamic clerics who are actually in charge. The ‘presidents’ are just the public face they present to the world. This was not a democratic election, rather the regime pivoting in anticipation of a Trump victory.

Iran International—which Tehran once demanded be designated a “terrorist” group due its truth-telling—posted this on X about Pezeshkian’s win:

Pezeshkian has secured “strong backing from his mentor,” former foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is also described as a “moderate.” Zarif is a staunch advocate of a nuclear deal with the West; he negotiated the first nuclear deal.

NOTE: Zarif did not hesitate to unleash against Israel within days of October 7, having said:

Israel’s fake image of resistance is now ruined. Israel’s barbaric actions is the reason for their continue[d] defeat.

He also called moslems:

[T]he primary victims of the ‘cult of hatred’—empowered by colonial regimes and exported by their own clients.

And he made the outrageous claim that “Tehran has never called for the destruction of Israel.

So, while Zarif and Pezeshkian may appear to be “moderates” or “reformists,” they differ:

[F]rom their hardline counterparts only in approach, not in substance.

Pezeshkian is the man of the hour—favored to do the bidding of the Supreme Leader as the one who has the greatest likelihood of winning the trust of the West. He has the right tone, unlike his defeated hardline rival Saeed Jalili, and he is firmly committed to exploiting any opportunity to advance toward the goal that Iran has long been eyeing: a new nuclear deal that would allow the regime to flourish.

The soft-spoken cardiac surgeon has already called for ‘constructive negotiations’ toward a revived 2015 nuclear deal, and China is doing the same.

And there are other signs of a turn in temperament too:

– Hamas is supposedly becoming more willing to compromise in the negotiations. That’s likely a feint but some are attributing this to the Iran-backed terror group’s realization that it may have a different administration in D.C. with which to deal, and

– The Iraqi government, which has a lot of connections to the regime in Tehran, is now supposedly pulling back on calls for a U.S. withdrawal.

A lesson the Left seem unable to learn: Dealing with enemies by appeasing them is the worst way to do business.

– Terrorists and tyrants do not respect weakness, they exploit it, and

– When they sense strength, they are more likely to fake diplomacy.

With The Obiden Regime, we have had unrelieved war emanating from Iran. Now that the Ayatollah’s expect Trump to win, the terrorists are suddenly pretending to be willing to negotiate.
