After Turkish Islamist President Recep Erdogan threatened to invade Israel, the Netherlands’ Geert Wilders, a staunch defender of the Jewish state and a hardline opponent of Islamism, blasted Erdogan, calling for Turkey to be kicked out of NATO.

Wilders became the kingmaker in The Netherlands after his PVV party became the biggest Party in the Dutch parliament in the November 2023 national election. The resulting coalition found Wilders’ PVV joined with the People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), the Farmer-Citizen Movement (BBB), and the New Social Contract (NSC). As far back as 2009, Wilders predicted the PVV would eventually become the Netherlands’ biggest party.
In 2007, Wilders stated:

In 2010, Wilders asserted:
If Jerusalem falls into the hands of the Muslims, Athens and Rome will be next. Thus, Jerusalem is the main front protecting the West.
It is not a conflict over territory but rather an ideological battle, between the mentality of the liberated West and the ideology of Islamic barbarism.
