The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, despite the apparent security was able to open fire, wounding Trump and tragically killing a former fire chief rally attendee Corey Comperatore, who heroically shielded his family, and critically wounded David Dutch and James Copenhaver.
The incident sent shockwaves through the nation, but since the event, we’ve heard very little from law enforcement.
Actually, from local police to the Secret Service to the FBI, we’ve heard next to nothing. Congress railed against the Secret Service’s shocking failures in the following days. But since, no results, no answers. We know little about why Crooks did what he did. We know even less about how the Secret Service or the local police could fail to stop Crooks from being allowed to take those shots. And the American public are not the only people outraged at the silence. Now, former First Lady Melania Trump is breaking her silence, calling out federal law enforcement.

In the wake of the assassination attempt, questions have emerged about the competence of the Secret Service. Multiple agents were placed on leave, and Kimberley Cheatle, the head of the Secret Service, resigned under pressure. Whistleblowers have since come forward with disturbing details. It appears Secret Service agents in charge of Trump’s security were told not to request additional resources for the event despite significant safety concerns.
The incompetence didn’t end there:
– Reports indicate the lead Secret Service agent in charge of the rally lacked the experience to handle the situation,
– This agent was reportedly responsible for managing line-of-sight concerns, a critical factor in Trump’s security,
– Crooks managed to climb to the rooftop of a nearby building, where he had a clear shot at Trump as he began speaking, and

And here’s where it gets even spicier:
– Rep. Clay Higgins attempted to view Crooks’ body after the shooter was fatally shot by a Secret Service Counter Sniper,
– [I]n a bizarre twist, Crooks’ body was cremated just 10 days after the assassination attempt, and
– No explanations, no further investigation. Just gone.
Loud warning buzzers should have sounded and red flags everywhere—no explanation.
The aftermath of this shooting is far from over. Melania’s video is likely just the start of what’s to come.
