Is U.S. foreign policy on autopilot? On Wednesday we learned the Obiden Regime is imposing sanctions on Israel while reissuing a sanctions waiver that lets Iran access more than $10 billion in frozen funds. The Regime’s priorities reflect a policy that long ago was overtaken by events.
The billions in sanctions relief provided by the Obama-Biden and Obiden-Harris Regimes allowed Iran to build up Islamic terrorist networks around the region, including Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Houthis in Yemen (which we’ve been battling for nine months) along with its ballistic missile program (and the rockets of its allied terror groups), and begin the wars we’ve been seeing over the last year.
In September 2023, before the Oct 7 attacks, the [Obiden-Harris Regime] conducted a disastrous hostage deal with Iran that included $6 billion in sanctions relief. And there then were the $1.7 billion in cash pallets illegally smuggled to Iran by Obama.
The total amounts estimated over the years have varied but have gone as high as $150 billion.
The nuclear program was only part of the picture when it came to Iran. The other parts included Iran’s international terrorism and its drug exports and ballistic missile program.
Sanctions relief extended even to Iran’s missile producers.
The [Obiden Regime] on Friday lifted sanctions on two Iranian entities involved in military missile programs.
We’re now seeing the impact of the arsenal that the Obama-Biden policies allowed Iran to build up.
