The sweeping election victory for President-elect Donald Trump this week also marks the start of an ambitious anti-chronic disease campaign, “Make America Healthy Again,” (MAHA) that has become central to Trump’s health agenda.
This in part from therightscoop.com.
The leading MAHA man is Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the lawyer, environmentalist, and anti-vaccine advocate whom Trump has teamed up with to make sweeping health-related changes.
RFK Jr. released a video explaining how he and President Trump are going to Make America Healthy Again.
The video is 5:45 minutes in duration and is well worth a look:
One thing RFK Jr. notes in his video is that several chronic disease-causing chemicals have already been banned by the federal government and they were banned under the last Trump presidency.
RFK stated last week that Trump promised him sweeping control over the country’s public health agencies, including the CDC, FDA, and USDA.
From Fox News:
Fox News senior medical analyst Dr. Marc Siegel discussed Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s potential plan to reform the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and crack down on ultra-processed foods during an appearance on Fox & Friends.…
Kennedy, a former independent presidential candidate, suggested to MSNBC Wednesday that the second Trump administration could eliminate entire departments within the FDA for ‘corruption.’
Kennedy’s suggestion to eliminate entire departments within the FDA might sound radical, but he is right:
[T]he agency has not done nearly enough to protect Americans from the dangers of ultra-processed foods.
He brought up the stark difference between countries like the U.S. and Canada, where popular foods like Froot Loops are packed with unnecessary ingredients here while being much simpler (and safer) abroad.
With a second Trump administration, there’s real potential to shake up the FDA and hold it accountable for safeguarding our health and our children’s future. A strong, reformed FDA could finally stop rubber-stamping unhealthy foods and start prioritizing public well-being over Big Food interests.
