MSNBC Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have been two of the most outspoken critics of Donald Trump.
Indeed, the two of them have spent much of the past decade having anti-Trump meltdowns each morning.
This from thepatriotjournal.com.
Heading into Election Day earlier this month, Scarborough and Brzezinski were confident their beloved candidate would defeat Trump. Unfortunately for them, they got the shock of their lives when Trump trounced What’s her Name not only in the Electoral College, but also in the popular vote.
Such mental anguish is the case when talking heads believe their own bulls**t and are confronted point blank with the truth.
NOTE: Trump’s win was so decisive Scarborough and Brzezinski have seemingly been coerced into making some major changes.
On Monday morning, they shocked their liberal viewers by revealing they had met with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate on Friday. This was their first meeting with him in seven years.
From The New York Post:
‘Five years of political warfare has deeply divided Washington and the country. We have been as clear as we know how in expressing our deep concerns about President Trump’s actions and words in the coarsening of public debate,’ said Brzezinski, 57, as she opened Monday’s show with the stunning revelation.
‘But for nearly 80 million Americans, election denialism, public trials, January 6th were not as important as the issues that moved them to send Donald Trump back to the White House with their vote. Joe and I realize it’s time to do something different, and that starts with not only talking about Donald Trump, but also talking with him.’
Scarborough, 61, said the trio talked about issues including ‘abortion, mass deportation and threats of political retribution against political opponents and media outlets. We talked about that a good bit.’
The duo appeared to be eager to let their leftwing fans know that this does not mean that they have become Trump supporters.
Brzezinski stated:
It will come as no surprise to anybody who watches this show, has watched it over the past year or over the past decade, that we didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of issues and we told him so. What we did agree on was to restart communications.
Further:
[Trump] was cheerful and upbeat [during the private meeting—and that] he seemed interested in finding common ground with Democrats on some of the most divisive issues.
Well, it appears that Hell has frozen over, people. Indeed, no one could have seen this one coming! Right?
Except, perhaps, the prognosticators who envision all of the propaganda media either collapsing or being sold to entrepreneurs who will transform them into something more balanced. If this were the case, Mika and Joe were given a choice of being canned or groveling.
MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski who called Donald Trump "Hitler", met with him at Mar-a-Lago and agreed to "restart communications".

Although, a Trump win in such epic fashion may have been the impetus for Scarborough and Brzezinski to admit defeat and cease propping-up the dead horse of radical liberalism. But We the People know better than that.
However, Trump’s win did show:
[T]hat the American people simply have not bought into the mainstream media’s narrative that Trump is a monster who will destroy us all.
And so, if Scarborough and Brzezinski want to return to a broader state of relevance in the world of media, they need to become more sensible and civil when it comes to reporting on Trump.
As for Trump himself, he opened up about the meeting in an interview with Fox News. He claimed that Scarborough and Brzezinski:
[C]ongratulated me on running a ‘great and flawless campaign, one for the history books,’ which I really believe it was, but it was also a campaign where I worked long and hard—perhaps longer and harder than any presidential candidate in history.
Trump further stated that though he feels:
[A]n obligation to the American public, and to our country itself, to be open and available to the press, [he made sure to add that] if not treated fairly, however, that will end.
Quite obviously, though, no one believes Trump will be “treated fairly” by the media. However, Scarborough and Brzezinski groveling at the President-elect’s feet may have momentarily garnered them a larger audience. But never We the People.
