The hearings for Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth were disastrous… for the Left.
This is good news for Pete Hegseth and for We the American People. The longer the communist/globalist crime syndicate flounders, the more complete the Trump Plan will be rolled out and in place with minimal distracting craziness and histrionics from the Left.

The Left’s game plan was to ‘genderify’ the hearings by focusing on the infidelity allegations and the question of women in combat, and to let female communist/globalist Senate members take the lead. The outcome was Sen. Elizabeth Warren and a few others scolding a calm Hegseth. The optics of it were horrendous again… for the Left.
One would think Senators know how to make a nominee sweat. But that would require them to perform some intelligent research and to prepare a series of progressively probing, damning questions, of course, while remaining in control. And in Hirono’s case, being able to intelligently read and understand the materials prepared for her. Also, since much of what members of Congress do is hold hearings, these should be basic skills, and yet somehow, they blew it. We the People can easily discern the Leftist attack has fallen apart when the interrogators are more flustered than the subject of the attack.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a former lawyer (and a horribly unpleasant human being) who has over several years progressively demonstrated less self-control and message discipline, came off as bitterly deranged. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand too had obvious difficulty transitioning from women in combat to the absence of lowered standards although lowered standards were necessary to put women in combat. And Sen. Hirono was unsightly compelled to disregard Hegseth’s answers to her questions and many times inserted her own answer in a scolding manner. Frankly, the only possible correction for Hirono would have been anyone else sitting in for her. She had trouble working her way through her prepared materials.
Interestingly enough, few people were watching the hearings anyway, but the Senate Leftists knew they needed only a few moments to go viral and then get picked up by late night shows who would spin them up again to make them go viral. Unsurprisingly—and noteworthy—those moments did not occur. At least not any that are useful to them.
The larger takeaway of this hearing is that the Left still has not recovered from their election thumping. The issues they purport to care about—like women in combat; transgenderism in women’s sports; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and surgically treating gender dysphoria—are of very little interest to most Americans. So, for the good of furthering Conservatism, may the short- and long-term goals of the Left continue to be addressing all those insane social issues for a diminishing constituency that is no longer leaning to the extreme Left.
