President Trump had previously proposed the resettlement of the Arab Muslim colonists in Gaza—dubbed by some as the ‘Palestinians’—but this time in a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, he laid out more of a proposal in which the United States would take control of Gaza and the population would be resettled.
This from frontpagemag.com.
While Gaza does have various advantages—it was used as a port in Roman times and might be usable as a naval base—in the right hands the narrow sliver of land on the Mediterranean Sea would make for some nice beachfront property.
[T]his is likely to be more of an attempt to reboot negotiations by starting from the strongest possible American position.
After negotiations stalemated by escalating Arab moslem demands, President Trump’s proposal certainly reboots them from a whole new perspective. The assertion that America would take Gaza and might sign off on Israeli declarations of sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria, confronts the Arab moslem states with a whole new paradigm, and one that would potentially force them to actually make some concessions.
UPDATE:
During a triumphant joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, Tuesday evening, President Trump announced an unprecedented plan that showcases America’s spectacular return to bold, decisive leadership on the world stage.
From Fox News:
The U.S. will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it, too.
We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous, unexplored bombs and other weapons on the site.
The President envisions direct American involvement in transforming Gaza into what he describes as “the Riviera of the Middle East.” This is not just another temporary solution—it is a complete reimagining of what’s possible!
The Israeli leader declared:
Your willingness to puncture conventional thinking, thinking that has failed time and time and time again, your willingness to think outside the box with fresh ideas, will help us achieve all these goals.
The president envisions creating “something that could be so valuable, this could be so magnificent,” with the potential to generate “unlimited numbers of jobs and housing.”
This approach perfectly showcases Trump’s proven track record of achieving results through decisive action.
He stated it clearly:
Just can’t go back. If you go back, it’s going to end up the same way it has for 100 years.
In a dramatic departure from failed past policies, Trump’s bold initiative puts America firmly in control of the region’s future.
This is not just about Gaza—it is about demonstrating American leadership in solving seemingly intractable global challenges.
The international community’s initial reaction suggests that while liberal diplomatic circles express shock, many regional leaders privately acknowledge the brilliance of Trump’s innovative approach.
The president noted:
[E]verybody I’ve spoken to loves the idea of the United States owning that piece of land.
This is exactly the kind of bold, transformative thinking that makes America great! Once again, President Trump is showing the world that American leadership, backed by strength and vision, remains the key to solving global challenges!
God speed Mr. President.
