Unrecoverable, yes, but there are those who are still living the charade.
The current environment within the Left’s crime syndicate is so toxic that ESPN sports commentator Stephen A. Smith is being touted as a presidential candidate in 2028.

On his podcast, Smith admitted his name is surfacing because democrats:
[S]uck right now! Horrible! Because they don’t have a voice! Where the hell is the voice?
Well said, Stephen A.!
Another example of the imminent demise of the Left’s crime syndicate, in a recent New York Times survey, 79% of Americans expressed opposition to “biological males competing in women’s sports.”
Nevertheless, in January, almost every crime syndicate member in Congress, 206, voted against a bill that would have protected female athletes from competing against biological males.
Recently, at a White House meeting, President Trump said the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) would comply with his executive order, “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports.” Yet, he noted the crime syndicate Governor of Maine, Janet Mills, was planning to defy his order.
Trump told Mills, “See you in court,” and vowed Maine would not “get any federal funding” if it refused to comply with his order. Trump also noted the unpopularity of her position and predicted Mills should “Enjoy your life after governor because I don’t think you’ll be in elected politics.”
Trump is right, this type of radical position does not have the support of most Americans. Nevertheless, the last four crime syndicate presidential nominees, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and What’s-Her-Name, have allowed their party’s platform to be hijacked by progressives.
Consequently, average Americans do not think the Democrat Party represents them.
This mentality helped President Trump win an electoral vote landslide and a popular vote victory last November. He won in every battleground state and made inroads with minority voters, especially with the Hispanic community, capturing 42% support. Accordingly, Republicans won control of the presidency, both Houses of Congress, and more than half the governorships, 27, throughout the country.
Yet another clear example of the bad state of affairs in the Left’s crime syndicate, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (C/G-TX) takes no responsibility for the recent election collapse, rather blames the American people. She said:
We’ve got to do better at education. People don’t understand.
Thus, Crockett and many of her Leftist colleagues want We the People to believe if Americans were more educated on the issues, her party would have won the 2024 election.
This mentality explains why the Left has lost political control and are reeling in the wake of President Trump’s first month in office. Trump has rushed in starting his second term with a flurry of executive orders and bold action, leaving the crime syndicate staggered. Instead of an effective response to Trump’s exciting and popular moves, the crime syndicate leaders have been laughably out of step.
Another example, their favorite response being to play the race card. In the wake of President Trump firing Air Force General C.Q. Brown as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Congressman James Clyburn (C/G-SC) blamed race. In a CNN interview, Clyburn said Brown was fired “because of his skin color.” Does Clyburn not recall it was Trump who appointed Brown to be the Air Force Chief of Staff in his first term?
Of course, President Trump, like his predecessors, is allowed to hire the military and civilian advisers he trusts for his administration. Yet, Leftists are very quick to play the race card, no matter the situation.
This race obsession from the Left and their allies in the media is becoming unpopular among the American people. For example, MSNBC has canceled the show hosted by extreme leftist Joy Reid.
On a nightly basis, Reid would accuse President Trump and other Republicans of racism. This act is wearing thin even among MSNBC viewers. The network is expected to lose 10.5% of its viewership “between the end of 2023 and the end of 2025.” In the weeks ahead, there will be other programming changes on MSNBC—a network which President Trump called “a threat to our democracy.”
NOTE: While viewers are leaving MSNBC, voters are leaving the democratic party. According to a February 19, 2025, poll by Quinnipiac University, only 21% of Americans approve of the actions of democrats in Congress. In contrast, the approval rating for congressional Republicans is 40%, and it is 45% for President Trump.
Those are not sky-high ratings, however, Republicans have significantly more support than democrats. One reason is the old, tired leadership of the crime syndicate.
For example, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York is hardly inspiring. He is even being mocked by liberal late-night television comics for his pathetic cheerleading at party rallies.
In comparison, President Trump, while four years older than Schumer, displays youthful vigor and energy. He is a dynamic leader and the Left has no one who remotely compares.
This is a major reason democrat pollster Mark Penn admits his party’s ratings are “falling off a cliff.” In his latest poll, democrat party approval ratings are only 35%, compared to the “high 40’s” in previous surveys.
In an interview on Fox News, Penn acknowledged that voters see the democrat party “a lot more negatively than they did on Election Day.” Penn credits the decline to voters’ reevaluation of the party on issues such as immigration, economic policy, and social policies.
Penn lamented:
In the Democratic Party, I have never seen anything like this. This is a record low for the Democratic Party in terms of favorability. It has fallen…I don’t think there’s any leadership right now that’s going to be able to bring that back.
