The Trump administration continues its sweeping reforms across the federal government.
Each week brings new changes aimed at reshaping policies established during the previous destructive, wrongheaded administration.
This from thepatriotjournal.com.
Americans who voted for a return to traditional values are seeing results faster than many expected.
Military leadership has been particularly busy. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has wasted no time implementing the president’s vision for a leaner, more combat-focused fighting force.
The days of using our armed forces as a laboratory for progressive social experiments appear to be over.
According to a report from The Daily Wire:
The Department of Defense is now cutting and disqualifying members of the military who suffer from gender dysphoria.
This directive comes from a Pentagon memo revealed Wednesday in a court filing.
From The Daily Wire:
Service members who have a current diagnosis or history of, or exhibit symptoms consistent with, gender dysphoria will be processed for separation from military service.
The new policy establishes clear guidelines about who can serve. Waivers will be granted only on a “case-by-case basis” in situations where there is “a compelling government interest in retaining the service member that directly supports warfighting capabilities.”
Even then, applicants must have never attempted to transition and:
[Must demonstrate] 36 consecutive months of stability in the Service member’s sex without clinically significant distress.
According to CNN:
[T]here are approximately 4,240 service members across active-duty, reserve, and the National Guard with a diagnosis of gender dysphoria.
The same report indicates:
[Approximately] 1,000 service members received gender-affirming surgery between 2014 and 2025.
The Pentagon’s approach aligns perfectly with existing military standards. Many conditions already disqualify potential recruits from service. Including:
– major depression,– bipolar disorder, and– anxiety disorders.
Further, the military’s new rules on gender dysphoria fall in line with these established regulations against conditions that could harm readiness. The policy memo states:
The Department only recognizes two sexes: male and female.
An individual’s sex is immutable, unchanging during a person’s life.
All service members will only serve in accordance with their sex.
This stance represents a significant departure from policies under the wrongheaded Obiden Regime.
On his first day in office, President Trump revoked Biden’s order that had banned “discrimination on the basis of gender identity” in the military.
The new policy also addresses the financial aspect of the issue.
According to CNN’s reporting on the memo:
[N]o funds from the Defense Department will be used for any surgical procedures relating to sex reassignment surgery, genital reconstruction surgery as treatment for gender dysphoria, or newly initiated cross-sex hormone therapy.
This redirection of military spending ensures taxpayer dollars focus on essential defense needs rather than controversial medical procedures.
The military budget should prioritize combat readiness, equipment modernization, and troop welfare—not identity-based medical interventions.
Critics of the policy have already begun legal challenges.
The Washington Post reported:
[T]he memo was made public as part of a lawsuit filed by LGBTQ+ rights groups against Trump’s executive order.
Air Force Master Sgt. Logan Ireland, who has served openly as transgender, claims “removing us would create significant operational gaps.”
Again, wrongheadedness. The military has managed untold personnel changes for the last 250 years. Somehow, all branches of the military will survive this too.
