Quick Takes from the Past 24-48 Hours

The ‘Speed of Trump’ continues.

The following is an installment of Trump-Vance team accomplishments (each article is linked for further info):

1. Good News for Small Businesses—Treasury Department Makes Major Changes to CTA-BOI Enforcement

The Treasury Department has essentially placed the Corporate Transparency Act Beneficial Ownership Information (CTA BOI) on life support.

…but it will further not enforce any penalties or fines against U.S. citizens or domestic reporting companies or their beneficial owners after the forthcoming rule changes take effect either.

The Treasury Department will further be issuing a proposed rulemaking that will narrow the scope of the rule to foreign reporting companies only.

Why didn’t someone in Congress or the Treasury Department think of this before? Perhaps because it was never intended to root out money laundering and corruption by foreign entities, but to collect data on American entrepreneurs and small businesses for them to use for God knows what at a time they deemed convenient.

Had Donald Trump not won the presidency, small businesses would still be shadow boxing with an unknown entity. All we knew of the Biden administration is that these behind the scenes puppet masters were intent on eroding our freedom and livelihoods. As Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent affirmed, it’s a victory for common sense over rank nonsense.

2. Scott Jennings WRECKS Stupid Leftist Talking Point about Economy on CNN (VIDEO)

Addressing the Leftist talking point on CNN which argued America is headed for a government shutdown that will hurt the American people, Jennings took a blowtorch to that foolishness by stating:

Biden ran the economy into a ditch and the [Left] are only screaming about it now that Trump is President.

3. Americans Love DOGE: 77% of Voters Believe in Full Examination of Govt. Expenditures, 7 in 10 Approve of Cutting Govt. Spending by $1 Trillion

Most voters support President Trump’s main issues on cutting immigration, reducing government expenditures, and returning America to its values after the dark years of The Obiden Regime.

Elon Musk cheered these latest results:

The pollsters reported: In his first month in office, President Donald Trump’s approval rating is at 52%, with voters most satisfied with his job on immigration, reducing the cost of the government, and returning America to its values. The majority of voters support Trump’s policies on the border, focus on government expenditures, gender, DEI, and offshore drilling but have concerns on his foreign policies involving tariffs, the Israel-Hamas war, and the war in Ukraine.

Meanwhile… whiny, America-hating communists/globalists have an approval rating of 36% – 15% lower than Republicans.

4. Trump Demands Military Leadership Answer for Afghanistan Withdrawal Disaster

President Trump called on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to fire every general involved and reclaim abandoned military equipment from the Taliban.

Hegseth said:

We’re doing a complete review of every single aspect of what happened with the botched withdrawal of Afghanistan and plan to have full accountability.

We’re taking a very different view, obviously, than the previous administration, and there will be full accountability.

The chaotic withdrawal resulted in a devastating attack by ISIS-K suicide bombers that killed 13 U.S. service members and approximately 170 Afghan civilians at Kabul airport.

The administration has already begun reshaping military leadership, with recent firings including Gen. Charles Q. Brown, Adm. Lisa Franchetti, Gen. James Slife, and several top military lawyers, signaling a major overhaul of Pentagon leadership.

5. Most People Do Not Know the Europeans Are Helping Fund the Russian Side of the War

As our European “allies” decry the nastiness of Bad Orange Man, they conveniently omit the fact Russia, for whom oil exports are their economic lifeline, is profiting mightily from European purchases.

And it is no wonder Europeans still rely on Russian energy production. They have been decarbonizing their economies, and the reduction in fossil fuel production has exceeded the reduction in energy consumption. Even as these countries continue to deindustrialize to decarbonize, and even as energy prices have skyrocketed (this is a policy choice intended to reduce consumption), abundant energy is still the most important factor in maintaining a Western-style quality of life.

A nation can decarbonize only so far so fast, and they have reached—and pretty much exceeded—that limit. With European leaders on very shaky political ground, they have to maintain their imports of Russian goods.

And as the Europeans have been trying to reduce their reliance, Russia has found new clients for their fossil fuels. China and Turkey have become major importers, and while it would hurt Russia, if European countries did enter the war their economies would be crippled.

The Europeans are talking tough, but even they admit the United States is key to making a peace deal and that Ukraine will not become part of NATO. Instead, Kier Starmer is now talking about a “coalition of the willing” to defend Ukraine, which is a far cry from NATO.

This really is not far from Trump’s position, which is that Ukraine is Europe’s problem and not ours. If they want to risk war with Russia–and if the mineral deal goes through, the risk will be low for quite a while—that is their problem.

And despite Starmer’s wishy-washy backing of Trump and loud proclamations of support for Zelenskyy, the British Ambassador to the United States is now saying Zelenskyy must agree to Trump’s demands.

6. GOP Congressman Preps Major Amendment that would Give Trump a Third Term

The political landscape continues to evolve in unexpected ways. Constitutional amendments are not proposed every day. When they are, they reflect significant shifts in how Americans view their government and leadership.

Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles has introduced legislation that would allow President Donald Trump to serve a third term.

The 22nd Amendment, ratified in 1951, currently limits presidents to serving two terms, whether consecutive or not. It was proposed by Congress in 1947, just two years after Franklin D. Roosevelt died after winning his fourth presidential election.

From Just the News:

It’s a unique time in history when you have someone who was elected president, then the American people said ‘Oh crap, we messed up. We want President Trump,’ he told the Just The News, No Noise television show Friday night.

Ogles argues Americans should have the option to let Trump serve eight straight years if they choose.

7. Trump Tariffs Bring Win—Honda Moves Civic Production Out of Mexico

Remember when the “experts” claimed tariffs would devastate the American economy? Those same financial gurus who predicted economic doom have gone suspiciously quiet lately.

Manufacturing decisions that once seemed set in stone are suddenly up for reconsideration. And American workers stand to benefit.

According to a recent report from Reuters:

Honda Motor Co. will move production of its next-generation Civic hybrid from Mexico to Indiana.

The Japanese automaker had initially planned to manufacture the next-generation Civic in Guanajuato, Mexico. Production was slated to start in November 2027. But Trump’s tariff policies changed that calculation dramatically.

From Breitbart News:

The change underscores how manufacturers are scrambling to adapt to U.S. President Trump’s proposed 25% tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada. While several automakers have expressed concerns about the levies, Honda’s move is the first concrete measure by a major Japanese car company.
