Quick Takes from the Past 24-48 Hours

The following is an installment of Trump-Vance team accomplishments (each article is linked for further info):

1. Disney Features Christian Character Praying to God for the First Time Since 1996

Most parents seeking family-friendly entertainment have grown accustomed to disappointment.

They have watched as beloved franchises and companies increasingly embrace progressive messaging. The gap between Hollywood and heartland values has widened each year.

However, something unexpected has happened at one of entertainment’s biggest companies. Disney’s new animated series “Win or Lose” includes something we have not seen from the House of Mouse in decades. A character openly prays to God.

From The Post Millennial:

Disney’s new animated series Win or Lose features its first explicitly Christian content since 1996. The series, which launched on February 19, is set in the world of ‘Inside Out,’ another animated program from Disney…

In one episode, the daughter of the coach, Laurie, struggles with anxiety as well as feeling insecure. At one point in the series, she is depicted on screen, bowing her head and folding her arms to pray.

This marks the first time in nearly 30 years that Disney has included explicitly Christian content in its programming. Not since The Hunchback of Notre Dame in 1996 has a Disney character expressed Christian faith so directly.

Whether this signals a larger shift in Disney’s approach remains to be seen. The company continues to navigate complex cultural and market pressures. But for now, at least one character in the Disney universe acknowledges a higher power.

2. Republican Seeks to Strip Committee Roles for Leftists Who Disrupted Censure Hearing

The Leftist crime syndicate is falling apart at the seams—from shouting during presidential addresses to breaking into song on the House floor, the display is difficult to believe.

House Republicans are fighting back against Leftist antics with a resolution that would strip committee assignments from those of the crime syndicate who disrupted the censure of Rep. Neanderthal Al (C/G-TX). The move comes after several from the Left broke into song during an official censure proceeding, causing chaos on the House floor.

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has filed a resolution seeking to remove committee assignments from those who stood in the House chamber and sang “We Shall Overcome” as Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) attempted to formally censure Neanderthal Al for his behavior during President Trump’s address to Congress.

From The Daily Wire:

‘Today, a group of House Democrats broke decorum during the censure of Rep. Al Green and, after multiple warnings, refused to heed [Johnson’s] order,’ Ogles said in a post on X, adding later: ‘If you want to act like a child in the Halls of Congress, you will be treated like a child.’

The resolution cites House rules that members:

[S]hall behave at all times in a manner that shall reflect creditably on [the lower chamber].

It calls for the House sergeant at arms to provide a list of who participated in the singing disruption within a week of passage so they may be “removed from any standing committee” for the remainder of the current Congress.

The push to strip committee assignments represents one of the most serious consequences available to House leadership for members who violate decorum. It would significantly diminish the influence of any members targeted by the resolution.

3. Trump Sets Sights On Russia, Mulls Major Tariffs and Sanctions Until Peace Deal Achieved

President Trump announced Friday he may implement severe economic measures against Russia. This is in response to their intensified military campaign in Ukraine. Russian forces have escalated attacks on Ukrainian defenses.

From The Hill:

‘Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely ‘pounding’ Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large scale Banking Sanctions, Sanctions, and Tariffs on Russia until a Cease Fire and FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT ON PEACE IS REACHED,’ Trump posted Friday on Truth Social.

‘To Russia and Ukraine, get to the table right now, before it is too late,’ he added.

This move signals a turning point. Trump is using America’s economic might as diplomatic leverage. His threat comes days after pausing military aid to Ukraine following a tense meeting with President Zelenskyy.

Russia launched missile strikes against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. These attacks hit Ukraine at a vulnerable moment. Their military position has weakened recently.

Zelensky called for immediate action. “The first steps toward real peace must include forcing Russia to stop such attacks against life,” he posted on X. He stressed that “silence in the skies” is essential for peace.

Trump’s team will meet Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia next week. This follows a similar meeting with Russian officials in Riyadh last month. A coordinated diplomatic effort is underway.

4. Trump Announced Company Will Invest $25 billion for US Infrastructure

President Trump announced a game-changing development for America’s shipping industry.

French shipping giant CMA CGM will invest a staggering $20 billion into U.S. shipping logistics and infrastructure. This massive investment comes directly “because of the election,” according to Trump. Another promise kept. Another win delivered.

From The Post Millennial:

‘This massive investment will go toward building our shipping, logistics infrastructure terminals, which will create an estimated 10,000 new jobs in America. It’s so important because it’s about shipping,’ the president continued.

‘You know, we lost our way for many years. We haven’t done anything. We used to build a ship a day, and now we essentially don’t build ships. We’re going to start that, and we’re going to be announcing next week, or the week after, a massive new program for building very, larger, larger ships in the world.’

The announcement came after Trump met with CMA CGM Chairman Rodophe Sade at the White House. Not just talk. Not just promises. Real investment. Real jobs. Real American renewal. Remember when “experts” said manufacturing jobs wouldn’t come back? Wrong again.

The $20 billion investment will transform America’s shipping landscape. CMA CGM isn’t just throwing money around. They’re strategically rebuilding American maritime power. Funny how quickly companies invest when America puts America first.

5. Soldiers Caught Betraying US to China. AG Bondi Promises “Severe” Justice

The FBI has arrested three U.S. Army soldiers in a shocking betrayal of our nation’s trust.

One former soldier and two active-duty soldiers stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State have been charged with stealing and selling sensitive military secrets to China.

From The Daily Wire:

‘The defendants arrested today are accused of betraying our country, actively working to weaken America’s defense capabilities and empowering our adversaries in China,’ said Attorney General Pam Bondi. ‘They will face swift, severe, and comprehensive justice.’

Jian Zhao and Li Tian, both active-duty Army soldiers, along with former soldier Ruoyu Duan, were arrested for stealing top-secret hard drives, weapons systems information, and documents on missile defenses to sell to individuals in China. This treasonous activity began as early as November 2021 and continued until December 2024.

The Justice Department’s announcement revealed the full extent of this betrayal. These were not low-level secrets. These were some of our most critical military technologies and defense capabilities.

The stolen information included technical details on America’s Bradley and Stryker fighting vehicles. These combat vehicles are backbone technologies for our ground forces. The thieves also took hard drives marked “SECRET” and “TOP SECRET.”

Even more disturbing, Zhao allegedly stole information related to the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS). He also took government documents containing details about potential conflict scenarios between the United States and China.

From The Daily Wire:

‘While bribery and corruption have thrived under China’s Communist Party, this behavior cannot be tolerated with our service members who are entrusted with sensitive military information, including national defense information,’ said FBI Director Kash Patel.
