Quick Takes from the Past 24-48 Hours

The following is an installment of Trump-Vance team accomplishments (each article is linked for further info):

1. Trump Secures $100B TSMC Investment, Creating 25,000 American Manufacturing Jobs

We the People have witnessed firsthand in towns across America—empty buildings where proud American workers once produced world-class products.

For years, politicians talked about reversing this trend. They promised to rebuild American industry. They pledged to restore America’s technological edge.

Promises made, promises kept: President Donald Trump just announced a historic $100 billion investment from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) that will create up to 25,000 American jobs. The investment includes construction of five semiconductor manufacturing facilities in Arizona, positioning America at the forefront of advanced chip production.

During a White House press conference, Trump stood alongside TSMC Chief Executive C.C. Wei to share the landmark announcement. The President praised Wei as a “legend” in the semiconductor industry.

The President declared:

The most powerful AI chips in the world will be made right here in America. And it’ll be a big percentage of the chips made by his company.

Further:

You’re probably talking about 20-25,000 jobs, but it’ll get bigger and bigger with time. Knowing this gentleman, it’ll get bigger and bigger. There’ll be no stopping him.

This investment addresses a critical national vulnerability. America has grown dangerously dependent on foreign nations for essential technology components. The semiconductor shortage during the pandemic revealed the risks of outsourcing critical manufacturing.

2. Trump Gives D.C. Mayor Ultimatum on City’s Widespread Homeless Encampments

The pattern repeats itself with disturbing predictability—beautiful, historic downtowns transformed into tent cities.

Public spaces commandeered by the homeless. Tourist areas that visitors increasingly avoid. All while communist/globalist mayors talk about “compassion” and “equity” instead of actually solving problems.

President Trump has seen enough of this in our nation’s capital. He delivered a crystal-clear message to DC Mayor Muriel Bowser this week:

[C]lean up the homeless encampments

or the federal government will do it for you.

From Fox News:

In a Truth Social post on Wednesday, the president specifically referenced areas near the State Department and the White House that are populated with homeless encampments that need to be removed, adding that the nation’s capital ‘must become CLEAN and SAFE!’

‘If she is not capable of doing so, we will be forced to do it for her!’ Trump wrote, in part. ‘We want to be proud of our Great Capital again. Thank you Mayor Bowser for your efforts on behalf of the Citizens of our Country. Hopefully you will be successful!’

What makes the situation particularly outrageous is that DC is one of the wealthiest regions in the entire country but the District is home to nearly 6,000 homeless individuals.

The President’s ultimatum comes after months of growing concern about the condition of Washington, DC. Having homeless encampments near prestigious federal buildings sends a terrible message. What do foreign dignitaries think when they see tents and squalor next to the State Department?

3. Trump Cancels Massive Grants to Columbia University over Antisemitism and This Is Only the Beginning

The DOJ announced they are nixing $400 million immediately, and that is only the beginning.

This immediate cancellation of approximately $400 million in federal grants and contracts to Columbia University is due to the school’s continued inaction in the face of persistent harassment of Jewish students. These cancellations represent the first round of action and additional cancellations are expected to follow.

On March 3rd, the Task Force notified the Acting President of Columbia University that it would conduct a comprehensive review of the university’s federal contracts and grants in light of ongoing investigations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Chaos and anti-Semitic harassment have continued on and near campus in the days since. Columbia has not responded to the Task Force.

Attorney General Pamela Bondi said:

After the horrors of October 7th, Jewish students were shamefully targeted on American college campuses—including at Columbia University.

Any university which fails to account for the discrimination of its students will not be tolerated. Comply with federal anti-discrimination laws and take action to protect students or expect consequences.

‘Since October 7, Jewish students have faced relentless violence, intimidation, and anti-Semitic harassment on their campuses—only to be ignored by those who are supposed to protect them,’ said Secretary of Education Linda McMahon. ‘Universities must comply with all federal antidiscrimination laws if they are going to receive federal funding. For too long, Columbia has abandoned that obligation to Jewish students studying on its campus. Today, we demonstrate to Columbia and other universities that we will not tolerate their appalling inaction any longer.’

President Trump has been clear that any college or university that allows illegal protests and repeatedly fails to protect students from anti-Semitic harassment on campus will be subject to the loss of federal funding.

4. Rep. Tim Burchett Risks It All to Expose Why the Swamp Fears Elon Musk and DOGE

On Wednesday, Elon Musk visited Capitol Hill to collaborate with Republican lawmakers on transforming the DOGE spending cuts into permanent legislation.

When asked about Musk’s meeting with lawmakers, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) pulled back the curtain on the corruption infesting Washington and why the establishment fears Elon Musk’s influence.

Reporter:
We wanted to ask you about Elon Musk’s message in there.

Tim Burchett:
We talked about specifics of areas that I don’t want to discuss, but it’s very encouraging—the things he’s disclosing and where he’s headed with this—because they haven’t even really cracked the nut.

Why is Washington so desperate to contain Musk? Burchett had a simple answer: follow the money.

Further:

You’ve got congressmen on both sides of the aisle. If they follow that paper trail, it’s going to come back to them.

And:

The pushback against Musk’s efforts is intense, but it’s coming from the usual suspects—the career politicians who have the most to lose.

Burchett Explained:

They’ve got their wife and/or girlfriend working for some agency, quasi-agency, or some business…

This town’s crooked as a dog’s leg. Somebody’s going to straighten it out. Looks like it’s going to be Elon Musk.

5. New Deputy Attorney General’s First Order of Business Was Firing Biden DOJ’s Pardon Attorney

HOURS into his tenure as Deputy Attorney General, Todd Blanche has already begun clearing house—he FIRED the DOJ’s Pardon Attorney, hired by Biden.

Expect MORE firings are coming.

Posters expect Blanche to not only be quick but thorough as well.

6. Trump Envoy Grenell Blasted Ex-Obama Advisor Susan Rice Over Failed Leftist Policies that Led to Global Conflicts

Foreign policy decisions impact every American. They determine whether our sons and daughters serve in combat zones. They influence how much we pay at the gas pump. They affect our standing on the world stage.

Grenell posted to X Saturday afternoon:

Your guy couldn’t even talk to Putin. For 3.5 years! Your policies helped usher in a war in Ukraine, Gaza…and Rwanda if you remember.

Donald Trump handed you peace in the Middle East and Europe—you handed us two wars. We see you.

And Rice’s credibility on foreign policy matters has long been questioned by conservatives. Grenell specifically referenced her controversial claims about the 2012 Benghazi attack, which she initially attributed to an anti-Islam video rather than terrorism.

Grenell wrote:

And then you lied about Libya—it wasn’t caused by a video. You made that up.
