Quick Takes from the Past 24-48 Hours

The following is an installment of Trump-Vance team accomplishments (each article is linked for further info):

1. “Back in Business!”: President Trump restarts Texas border wall construction halted by The Regime

The adults are back in charge, everyone: United States Border Patrol is working to put up wall in the Rio Grande Valley Sector which was paused under The Obiden Regime.

Banks reported the project will replace six-foot guard rails with 18-foot bollard panels. They are designed to “provide impedance and denial capabilities” to illegal aliens crossing the border from Mexico into Texas.

‘These panels were originally planned for installation during the prior Trump Administration, but the contracts were cancelled (sic) by the Biden Administration,’ Banks stated. ‘The panels going in today will replace the six-foot guard rails and will provide impedance and denial capabilities in support of the President’s recent Executive Orders to ensure complete operational control of the Southern border.’

How about that? A presidential administration actually interested in making America safer!

2. CDC Launches Major Investigation into Vaccine Links to Autism

The massive increases in the rate of autism demand a comprehensive investigation of all possible causes, including vaccination.

The statement explained:

CDC will leave no stone unturned in its mission to figure out what exactly is happening.

This decision comes as the Trump administration seeks to tackle America’s chronic disease epidemic.

Previously, health officials insisted the rise in autism diagnoses was linked to broader screening and evolving diagnostic criteria.

However, autism rates have soared in line with increasing childhood vaccinations over the years.

In the 1990s, the prevalence of autism was approximately 1 in 1,000 children.

Autism rates in children have since skyrocketed to 1 in 36, according to the CDC.

As such, several political figures—including President Trump—have pushed for further investigation.

3. “No Dissent”: President Trump Asks “All Republicans” to “Give Us a Few Months” and Approve GOP Continuing Resolution

President Trump on Saturday implored ‘All Republicans’ to vote on a 99-page spending bill that would keep the government funded through September, as a March 14 deadline approaches for the latest government shutdown threat.

The bill largely maintains current spending levels, while an additional $8 billion would be included for defense programs, and $6 billion for veterans’ healthcare.

Bloomberg noted:

[U]nlike previous shutdowns, this one would impact all discretionary spending since none of the 12 appropriations bills have been signed into law.

Further:

While key entitlement programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid would continue making payments, administrative delays could affect new enrollments.

And:

The economic consequences of a prolonged shutdown would be immediate yet largely reversible.

4. President Trump Tells Maria Bartiromo ‘There’s Something Wrong’ with Democrats (VIDEO)

The President believes the party is in serious trouble, even suggesting they could become a minor party based on their recent antics.

Trump stated:

They lost an election in a landslide. They were talking about men playing in women’s sports.

Further:

They don’t get it.  And I think they’re gonna end being a minor party if they keep going like this ’cause people don’t want to hear about these stupid ideas that they have.

And:

Transgender for everybody. And again, the men in women’s sports. What is that, a 90-to-10 deal? I don’t even know who the 10 would be. But they’re out there fighting for it.

5. UCLA Law Professor Calls for Military Coup To Depose President Trump

Peter Arenella, a professor of criminal law at University of California Los Angeles, posted on X, Arenella that he hopes for a “violent resistance by our military” and a military coup against the president.

Here are the two posts:

Apparently, he sees a coup as the only way to stop the U.S. from allying with Russia.

In a follow-up post, Arenella claimed that “we will get what we deserve” for re-electing President Trump and giving him “a second chance to destroy our democracy.”

The TDS is strong with this one.

There are so many issues with this post.

But the most glaring one is the fact that this professor is calling for a military coup in one sentence, then a couple sentences later wanting to preserve “democracy.”

But military coups are not democratic.

6. DOGE Discovers Massive Loan Scheme for Pre-Teen Children

Imagine the Small Business Administration (SBA) issuing approximately 5,600 loans totaling $312 million to borrowers listed as 11 years old or younger during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021.

DOGE’s investigation revealed potential fraud, noting that many of these loans used Social Security Numbers (SSNs) which did not match the names of the listed borrowers, raising questions about the SBA’s verification processes, according to Fox News.

This discovery follows DOGE’s broader mission, established under President Trump’s administration in January 2025, to root out waste, fraud, and corruption in federal spending.

7. SecDef Hegseth Drives the Stake Through Climate Change Driving Defense Policy

For reasons beyond common understanding, the military has been vulnerable to environazis for decades.

At Fort (Braxton) Bragg, large swaths of training area were put off limits because they were allegedly the nesting grounds of the then-endangered (it had a status upgrade in December) red-cockaded woodpecker.

The Department of Defense has been enamored of climate change since at least 2003 when Defense’s Office of Net Assessment released a report titled An Abrupt Climate Change Scenario and Its Implications for United States National Security. Go to page 18 of the pdf to look at what were considered reasonable scenarios for 2025.

Fortunately for America, under President Trump there has been a long overdue change in the way the military does business.

If climate change is real, it will be addressed at home and abroad by agencies not called the Department of Defense. When the Defense encounters it, it will come in the form of weather and terrain; how we got there will be an academic exercise.

Secretary Hegseth has stated his focus must be on training troops, structuring forces, modernizing equipment, and building warrior spirit to win wars, something Defense has gotten out of the habit of doing over the last 41 years.

Few things are harder than turning around a failing but complacent and self-satisfied organization. That is the challenge facing Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. The military services have been hollowed out through DEI and dysfunctional leadership. The industrial base is dead in the water, but SecDef Hegseth is on a mission from President Trump.

God speed Mr. Secretary.
