Quick Takes from the Past 24-48 Hours

The following is an installment of Trump-Vance team accomplishments (each article is linked for further info):

1. Trump Admin Ends Public Housing Access for Illegal Aliens: ‘The Gravy Train Is Over’

Trump’s DHS and HUD laid out plans in a memorandum of understanding to identify illegal aliens who are currently in public housing and end the “wasteful misappropriation” of taxpayer money.

HUD Secretary Scott Turner asserted:

American tax dollars should be used for the benefit of American citizens, especially when it comes to an issue as pressing as our nation’s housing crisis.

Further:

This new agreement will leverage resources including technology and personnel to ensure American people are the only priority when it comes to public housing.

And:

We will continue to work closely with DHS to maximize our resources and put American citizens first.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said:

If you are an illegal immigrant, you should leave now.

The gravy train is over.

The Homeland Security secretary added:

The entire government will work together to identify abuse and exploitation of public benefits and make sure those in this country illegally are not receiving federal benefits or other financial incentives to stay illegally.

The Trump administration has virtually sealed the Southern Border.

Earlier this month, the DHS reworked a controversial program that was previously used to expedite the arrival and release of illegal aliens into the country.

Instead, Trump’s DHS has turned the app into a platform that urges illegal aliens to self-deport to their home countries.

2. Trump Signed Major Executive Order to Crack Down on Voter Fraud, End ‘Fake Elections’

The order requires federal funding be cut to states that refuse to take steps to secure elections, and it asserts Department of Homeland Security (DHS) resources be used to ensure illegal aliens are not voting. Further, for the first time ever, a citizenship question is now mandatory on the voting form.

Trump’s order also instructs the Department of Justice (DOJ) to vigorously pursue election crimes—the DOJ will especially crack down in states not compliant with federal law around election integrity.

In addition, the order directs the updating of the Voluntary Voting System Guidelines 2.0 and security standards for voting equipment. This includes requiring a voter-verifiable paper ballot record and not using ballots in which the counted vote is contained within a barcode or QR code.

The order also directs the attorney general to enter into information-sharing agreements with state election officials to identify cases of election fraud or other election law violations.

The DOJ will take appropriate action against states that count ballots received after Election Day in federal elections.

It also revokes the former Obiden Executive Order 14019—the order turned federal agencies into Leftist voter turnout centers, the Trump administration noted.

3. NASA Credits Trump for Rescuing Stranded Astronauts: ‘It Would Not Have Happened Without His Intervention’

As reported by The Daily Mail, NASA admits the rescue mission would not have happened without Trump,

NASA’s Bethany Stevens asserted:

President Trump’s intervention—this rescue mission—marked a huge win for the Trump administration.

Unsurprisingly, however, this is not something anyone is hearing from the Leftist colluding propaganda media.

Trump drew national attention to the situation in January when he revealed he had told SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to “go get” the astronauts who had been “virtually abandoned” in space.

Musk confirmed the call, and by February, both men publicly stated the mission had been delayed for months due to politics.

That delay left astronauts Williams and Wilmore stuck on the International Space Station (ISS) for over nine months because of problems with Boeing’s Starliner—and mentally ill liberal politics.

Their trip was supposed to last only 8 days.

On March 18, the astronauts finally returned to Earth, splashing down off the Florida coast in the Gulf of America inside a SpaceX Crew-9 capsule.

According to NASA, the mission succeeded thanks to Trump’s pressure and direction.

NASA under Trump is ready to put America First in space.

Meanwhile, the wrongheadedness of Obama-Biden willingly left Americans stranded in orbit.

4. President Trump Promises to ‘Look Into’ Ashli Babbitt’s Shooting Death on January 6

Michael Byrd, the U.S. Capitol Police lieutenant who shot Babbitt, is still on duty and was promoted to Captain in 2023. The Justice Department announced in April 2021 it would not pursue criminal charges against Byrd after opining the shooting was lawful.

President Trump, who was endorsed last year by the largest police union in the U.S., said:

I think it’s a disgrace. I’m going to look at that too. His reputation was—I won’t even say. Let’s find out about his reputation, okay? We’re going to find out.

Ashli Babbitt was fatally shot by U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd on January 6, 2021.

The president also suggested the idea of a “compensation fund” for Jan. 6 defendants who were previously imprisoned and who he claimed were treated “very unfairly” by the Obama-Biden Regime.

He said:

Well, there’s a lot of talk about that. A lot of people that are in government now talk about it, because a lot of people in government really like that group of people.

Further:

They were patriots, as far as I was concerned.

And:

A group of people went down there, peacefully and patriotically, remember that.

On Friday, the president brought up Babbitt’s fatal shooting when he compared the vandalization of Tesla dealerships to the storming of the Capitol, stating the level of attacks was greater against Elon Musk’s company.

He explained:

You didn’t have anything like that on Jan. 6, which is sort of amazing because on Jan. 6, the Democrats were talking.

Nobody was killed other than a very beautiful young woman, Ashli, Ashli Babbitt. Nobody was killed.

5. Trump Gives Ultimatum to Egypt for Accepting Refugees from Gaza

The U.S. government is negotiating a deal for Egypt to accept 700,000 Gazan refugees.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo over the weekend to discuss the plan. The UAE leader conveyed the offer from the U.S., according to a UK and Qatari media source.

Egypt’s struggling economy could benefit from the sizeable aid package.

However, if the Egyptian government waits much longer to accept the deal, the U.S. will offer it elsewhere, a source close to the discussion said.

Cairo could also lose existing aid from the U.S. of $1.3 to $1.5 billion if it refuses.

So far, Cairo has resisted the idea.

Trump said last month that he wants to resettle Gaza’s entire population and turn the area into an economic hub for the Middle East, with the U.S. in charge of the territory.

If he’s able to do so, it will be a major transformation of the entire region and an entirely new Middle East strategy.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has announced a voluntary resettlement program in Gaza.

The plan is headed by a new department and is in alignment with Trump’s stated goals.

Katz stated in a post on X:

I welcome President Trump’s bold initiative, which can create extensive opportunities for those in Gaza who wish to leave, assist them in resettling in host countries, and support long-term reconstruction efforts in a demilitarized, threat-free Gaza after Hamas—an effort that will take many years.

Katz further said he expects the governments of Spain, Ireland, Norway, and others who have criticized Israel for attacking civilian areas to take in the refugees or be accused of hypocrisy, and said that Canada was already forming a resettlement plan.
