Quick Takes from the Past 24-48 Hours

The following is an installment of Trump-Vance team accomplishments (each article is linked for further info):

1. Trump Tariffs Vindicated After March Jobs Report, Hiring Accelerated Despite Liberal Claims

The jobs market is rapidly improving since President Trump returned to office, with private-sector employment surging beyond all expectations. According to data released Wednesday by ADP, hiring accelerated in March with 155,000 jobs added across the U.S. economy—significantly outpacing Wall Street’s consensus forecast of 120,000. That’s nearly double February’s 84,000 jobs, showing momentum building in the American economy.

Most telling in these numbers is where the job growth is happening. The manufacturing sector added 21,000 jobs in March, marking the second consecutive month of strong gains in this critical industry. Remember when we were told American manufacturing was dead?  That those jobs were never coming back? What knucklehead was it that said that, anyway?

Professional and business services led overall growth with 57,000 new jobs, followed by financial activities with 38,000. These are not just any jobs—these are good-paying positions that support American families and communities. The goods-producing sector as a whole added 24,000 jobs, showing strength in exactly the areas tariffs are designed to protect.

The labor market remains resilient even as the economy adapts to a more strategically focused trade environment. For all the dire warnings about tariffs “hurting business confidence” or “chilling investment,” the actual data tells a different story – one of strength and adaptation rather than decline.

2. Swing State Defies Leftist Scheme, Enshrines Voter ID with Constitutional Amendment

Conservatism scored a major victory in the ongoing fight for election integrity. Wisconsin voters approved a constitutional amendment enshrining voter ID requirements in the state constitution, delivering a resounding defeat to those who oppose common-sense election security measures.

While Wisconsin already had voter ID laws on the books, this amendment elevates those protections to the constitutional level, making them significantly harder to overturn through judicial activism or if communists/globalists gain control of state government. The amendment passed with strong support after being championed by Republican lawmakers in the state legislature.

The numbers tell the story of just how popular voter ID requirements are among everyday Americans. A Marquette Law School poll showed a whopping 77 percent of Wisconsin respondents favor voter ID requirements. The breakdown is even more telling: 97 percent of Republicans and 77 percent of independents support the measure. Only Democrats stood in opposition, with 55 percent against common-sense verification.

Wisconsin isn’t alone in requiring voter ID, but it does have some of the strictest requirements in the nation. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, nine states currently require photo ID to vote, while a total of 36 states have some form of identification requirement.

The Wisconsin amendment demonstrates what’s possible when conservatives stand firm on principle rather than caving to progressive pressure campaigns. It is a model other battleground states would be wise to follow before the next election cycle.

Further, it is safe to say the election of Susan Crawford over Brad Schimel in the nonpartisan general election for a 10-year term on the Wisconsin Supreme Court was not an honest election. A challenge is likely already being mounted.

3. President Trump Defies Opposition as ICE Hits 100,000 Deportations

ICE detention facilities are reportedly at “max capacity,” with the administration asking Congress for additional funding to support more beds. Unlike his predecessor who preferred the “catch and release” approach, Trump is serious about detaining and deporting those who entered our country illegally.

An ICE source put it perfectly when speaking to the Post: “He’s doing what he was voted in to do. Point blank!”

Of course, no good deed goes unpunished in Washington. Liberal judges have been working overtime to throw wrenches into Trump’s deportation machine. When the president invoked the Alien Enemies Act to begin deporting hundreds of dangerous gang members from Tren de Aragua and MS-13 (both now designated as terrorist organizations), the left-wing legal brigade sprang into action.

Let’s be crystal clear: These are not innocent migrants looking for a better life. They are members of brutal gangs like MS-13 and Tren de Aragua—designated terrorist groups. Many have records of horrific crimes including child rape and murder. And yet, somehow, those of the communist/globalist crime syndicate think these are the people who deserve protection?

Fast forward to Trump’s America: March saw just 7,180 border crossings for the entire month. That is fewer people in 31 days than The Obiden Regime brought in during a single day! Trump’s approach: combining executive orders, strict enforcement of current laws, and tough messaging has proven incredibly effective.

4. Trump Sets New Record in Partnering with Allies in Latin America

All the talk of President Trump turning America inward is certainly not true when it comes to Latin America. U.S. presence and partnerships to the south are being strengthened by visits from top ranking officials from the State Department, Homeland Security, the Department of Agriculture, the Southern Command, among others.

For the first time in American history, a Secretary of State—Marco Rubio—began his term by touring Latin America rather than the usual European or Asian capitals. This was not just for show—it brought about immediate, tangible results. American businesses are reclaiming strategic assets while strengthening our hemisphere’s security.

During Rubio’s visit to Panama, the Central American nation made the unprecedented decision to withdraw from China’s Belt and Road Initiative. This marks the first time any country has stepped away from Beijing’s debt-trap diplomacy scheme.

Further, American company BlackRock struck a deal to purchase 90 percent of Panama Ports Company, taking control of the strategic Balboa and San Cristobal ports that connect the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. These facilities had been under Chinese control for two decades through Hong Kong-based CK Hutchinson.

President Trump promised to protect Americans from criminal gangs, and he is delivering through smart partnerships across the region. During Secretary Noem’s recent visits to El Salvador, Colombia, and Mexico, she secured unprecedented cooperation on border security and transnational crime.

El Salvador’s President Bukele—a no-nonsense leader the liberal media loves to call “authoritarian” when he locks up gang members—offered to receive and imprison criminals from MS-13, Tren de Aragua, and Mexican cartels deported from the United States.

The administration signed a groundbreaking biometric data-sharing agreement with Colombia that has already led to over 1,700 deportations and 1,000 arrests. Meanwhile, Mexico has deployed 10,000 soldiers to their northern border and accepted deportation flights carrying migrants of various nationalities.

While the communist/globalist crime syndicate was busy fighting to keep criminal aliens in American communities, the Trump administration was building an international network to remove them and keep them out—the America First approach in action.

Perhaps the most strategic move has been the administration’s robust support for Guyana, which is rapidly becoming a major energy producer. Secretary Rubio recently visited the South American nation to reaffirm America’s commitment to its security amid threats from Venezuela’s socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro.

The U.S. Navy cruiser USS Normandy recently conducted joint exercises with Guyana’s patrol vessels in international waters near the disputed Essequibo region, which contains massive oil reserves that Venezuela’s Maduro regime is trying to illegally claim. China expressed irritation at America’s growing influence—a clear sign we’re doing something right.

Similar security partnerships are being formed with Argentina, Peru, and other nations that share our interest in regional stability and prosperity. Under Trump’s leadership, America is reclaiming its rightful role as the partner of choice throughout the Western Hemisphere.

These diplomatic victories are not just abstract foreign policy wins – they translate directly into safer communities, more economic opportunities, and greater energy security for everyday Americans.

5. President Trump Declared ‘Liberation Day in America’ in Rose Garden Tariffs EO Event

Katie Pavlich from Townhall captured some of the proceedings in person. One of those moments was this image of some of the attendees, including members of the Cabinet and House Speaker Mike Johnson:

Vice President J.D. Vance was also present…

…along with a noticeable group of auto workers:

Pres. Trump began his remarks by calling Friday, Apr. 2, “Liberation Day”:

He also announced the new EOs signal “our [nation’s] turn to prosper and, in so doing, use trillions and trillions of dollars to reduce our taxes and pay down our national debt”:

Pres. Trump talked about how the U.S. trade deficit soared to record levels under “Sleepy Joe Biden” and how we have fallen behind compared to China:

God speed Mr. President.
