1. Trump Signed Order Creating National Center for Warrior Independence
President Trump took executive action on May 9 that was directed toward fulfilling a campaign promise to improve the lives of America’s veterans.
The order directs the VA department to “work to restore self-sufficiency and the warrior ethos among homeless veterans through any guidance, requirements, or services needed to ensure homeless veterans can access housing, receive substance abuse or addiction treatment, and return to productive work and community engagement.”
By directing a revitalization of the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center with the capacity to help veterans earn back self-sufficiency. The order directs the VA secretary to present an action plan within 120 days that will restore housing capacity at the center to 6,000 homeless veterans by Jan. 1, 2028, as well as fulfill other directives.
The president wrote in the order:
The campus once featured a chapel, billiard hall, 1,000-seat theater, and housed about 6,000 veterans, but the Federal Government has since allowed this crown jewel of veteran care to deteriorate over the last few decades.
The VA department had leased parts of the property, sometimes at below-market prices, to private companies, a private school, and the UCLA baseball team.
He wrote:
As of 2024, there were approximately 3,000 homeless veterans in Los Angeles, more than in any other city in the country and accounting for about 10 percent of all of America’s homeless veterans. Many of these heroes live in squalor in Los Angeles’s infamous ’skid row.’
This order builds upon legislation from Trump’s first term that expanded accountability in the VA department and expanded benefits for veterans, and orders:
[A]ppropriate action against individuals who have committed misconduct, making full use of and in accordance with the Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act of 2017.
2. Trump Administration Negotiated Immediate Ceasefire Between India and Pakistan
Talks mediated by the United States yielded an immediate ceasefire between India and Pakistan. The two nuclear powers have seen their heaviest fighting in decades for the last week.
President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social:
After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
According to WSJ:
India and Pakistan agreed to a full and immediate cease-fire in the worst violence between the two nuclear-armed rivals for more than two decades.
The confrontation between India and Pakistan had intensified Saturday with each accusing the other of drone and missile strikes overnight as the U.S. urged them to get around the table.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement that he and Vice President J.D. Vance were involved in the talks:
Over the past 48 hours, Vice President Vance and I have engaged with senior Indian and Pakistani officials, including Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Shehbaz Sharif, External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, and National Security Advisors Ajit Doval and Asim Malik.

3. Leftists Melt Down as Trump Nukes Biden’s Radical ‘Digital Equity Act’
Thursday, Trump said he would end the Digital Equity Act, a Marxist-rooted program signed into law by Joe Biden in 2021. The radical scheme spent billions ostensibly to expand Internet access to underserved communities.

4. Trump Continues to Break Border Records as Illegal Entries Reach New Lows
On the campaign trail, President Trump vowed to put an end to the border crisis that had spiraled into a national embarrassment.
Now, just a few weeks after President Trump took office, the situation at the border is swiftly improving. President Trump tackled in mere days what the Left refused to do. The message is clear:
America’s borders are not a suggestion.
According to an exclusive report from Breitbart Texas, the southern border is experiencing a “record-shattering decline” in alien apprehensions—the kind of news that makes We the People want to stand up and cheer.
Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks summed it up perfectly:
From chaos to control. In just 100 days, President Trump and Secretary Noem delivered on the promise to provide the most secure border in history.
In April 2025, agents apprehended around 6,300 migrants—a staggering drop of over 95 percent compared to the 129,000 encountered just one year prior under The Regime. The first week of May? A mere 270 per day along the entire southwest border. This is a testament to decisive action.

We the People call it the “Trump Effect,” and it is as real as the frustration of those who wanted our borders to remain a free-for-all.
But President Trump’s approach is not merely about enforcement at the border; it is also about undoing the nonsensical, agenda-driven boondoggles of the past. For example, recent news from Otay Mesa, California, reported by the Daily Mail, described a $10 million highway, built two years ago to connect to a planned port of entry (where the Mexican side was built but the American side lagged woefully behind schedule under The Obiden Regime), is now being demolished.
Why? Because under President Trump, common sense is back in vogue.
5. White House Slams Minnesota Leftists for Releasing Illegal Alien DUI Suspect Who Killed a Mother in a Vehicular Crash
In a pointed statement, the Trump administration condemned local officials in Minnesota for their refusal to cooperate with federal immigration authorities, accusing them of prioritizing political ideology over public safety.
An illegal alien from Ecuador, German Adriano Llangari Inga, is facing several felony and misdemeanor charges for drunk driving last year, which resulted in a crash killing Victoria Eileen Harwell, and hurting her teenage daughter and sister.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed Llangari Inga was arrested for criminal vehicular homicide in Minnesota in August 2024. ICE placed a detainer request with the Hennepin County Jail, but the jail released Inga without notifying ICE. Llangari Inga, who was unlawfully in the U.S. at the time of the crash, originally entered the country in 2016 and was already undergoing removal proceedings.
Alex Pfeiffer, the White House Principal Deputy Communications Director, criticized liberals for failing to protect the public, saying their inaction allowed an illegal immigrant, who killed a mother while driving drunk, to flee arrest and remain at large.
He said:
An illegal [alien] drove drunk, killed an innocent mother, and is now on the run because [communists/globalists] didn’t do their most important job: protect their constituents.
This is precisely why the Trump Administration is taking action to hold these so-called ‘sanctuary’ jurisdictions accountable.
ICE stated the Hennepin County Jail released Llangari Inga without notifying them, despite an active detainer.
