Quick Takes from the Past 24-48 Hours

The following is an installment of Trump-Vance team accomplishments (each article is linked for further info):

1. Major Firm Drops Recession Prediction to below 50% Possibility After Trump-China Deal

First, these asshat self-taught economists are blinded by their political bias and simply put, they are practicing bad economics.

A leader is sometimes forced to act in ways which have the mass propaganda media clutching their pearls and the establishment scratching their heads. They might call it “unconventional,” or even “draconian” if they are feeling particularly dramatic. But often there is a grander game afoot—a greater skill level of the chess being played—a strategy that becomes clear to the amateur only after the dust has settled and the results begin to roll in.

And speaking of results, it seems Wall Street giant JP Morgan just had one of those “aha!” moments. They have decided the U.S. is not quite as likely to tumble into a recession next year as they previously thought. In fact, they have dropped their odds of a 2025 recession from a rather gloomy 60 percent down to “below 50 percent.” A telltale shift, yes?

Recall, back in April, according to Fortune magazine, JP Morgan was singing a very different tune. They were reportedly “caught off guard” by what they termed President Trump’s “extreme” tariff announcements, and it was those very tariffs that had them predicting that 60 percent chance of recession. Oh, how the tables turn when a plan comes together. The catalyst for this newfound optimism? None other than President Donald Trump striking a crucial 90-day trade deal with China.

As this 90-day deal with China unfolds, it is clear the President’s approach to international trade—tough, strategic, and ultimately aimed at benefiting the American people—is once again proving its worth.

2. Trump Promises Big Changes with National Airspace, Slaps Pete Buttigieg Silly

The former transportation secretary and unscheduled paternity leave aficionado has been implicated in a scandal involving an inoperative hotline between Washington National Airport (DCA) and the Pentagon. That became especially relevant given the mid-air collision between a regional airliner and a military helicopter which occurred there in January, largely due to a lack of coordination within the airspace.

While speaking about the changes he will make, Trump mocked Buttigieg for “riding a bicycle” to work and his attempts to pump up a 2028 presidential candidacy, the latter of which has been marked by the growing of a beard that would make a teenager envious.

What Trump is referring to was Buttigieg’s penchant for cosplaying as a climate warrior while transportation secretary. In one ridiculous instance, he had a government SUV drop him off a few blocks from the Department of Transportation. He then pulled a bike out of the back and rode it the rest of the way so the press could snap pictures of him.

In other words, Buttigieg was a complete and total do-nothing as transportation secretary.

Moving on, the president stated he wants a unified contract to develop the new ATC system. Yes, he does not have expertise in this area, and he is speaking in generalities. However, a combination of satellite and ground-based radar for real-time detection of aircraft may be the technology of the near future.

3. Homan’s Response to AOC’s Threat Is Glorious, Reveals Who Will Decide Whether Leftists Face Arrest

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (C/G-NY) threatened DHS officials, specifically calling out Border Czar Tom Homan and Kristi Noem. AOC said if they “laid a finger on” [arrested] the Leftists who DHS says assaulted federal agents at a Newark ICE facility, there would be a “problem.”

Homan was dismissive of AOC:

She’s been yelling and screaming for the last four years. No one is above the law, including members of Congress.

Further:

You can’t cross the line. You can’t knowingly impede ICE law enforcement officers. That is a felony.

Homan also skewered AOC in a comment to Fox:

I wish she’d do her job. She’s a legislator, right? Why doesn’t she pass some legislation… and actually improve this country like President Donald Trump is already doing?

I’m doing my job: the border is secure. We arrested three times more criminals than Biden did. We’re doing our job. She should try doing her job.

Homan explained there was a “lot of video being reviewed” and statements from witnesses being taken. Alina Habba, the acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, would make the decision [whether to prosecute], he said.

4. Trump: “Something Wrong” with Senate Minority Leader

President Trump has once again stirred the pot, finding himself in a familiar standoff, this time with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. The latest dustup? Schumer announced he will not attend to any of President Trump’s Justice Department political nominees. His stated rationale? He needs “more answers” about a rather generous offer from Qatar concerning a jumbo jet.

President Trump, always on the verbal attack, shared his own take on Schumer’s sudden obstructionism. He sees this as classic Schumer, “perhaps even a Schumer who has lost his way.”

He said:

Schumer is Schumer.

Further:

You know, he’s become a Palestinian. Something wrong with him? I don’t know, I’ve known him a long time and there’s something wrong.

And:

He’s lost his confidence, totally. And there’s something wrong with him. I don’t know what it is with Schumer.

So, what exactly has Senator Schumer’s knickers in such a twist that he is willing to grind important government appointments to a halt? According to Schumer, the offer from Qatar of a $400 million Boeing 747-8 jet, potentially to serve as a temporary Air Force One, is nothing short of a “grave national security threat.” Strong words, indeed.

President Trump’s rationale for accepting the Qatari offer is refreshingly straightforward:

We’re very disappointed that it’s taking Boeing so long to build a new Air Force One.

Further:

You know, we have an Air Force One that’s 40 years old.

Also, Attorney General Pam Bondi reportedly reviewed the potential transfer and deemed it would not violate the Constitution’s emoluments clause.

This is not a scandal, rather Trump looking for a practical fix while an American company struggles to deliver.

And according to Courthouse News, some Republican senators, while perhaps having their own views on the jet itself, are clearly unimpressed with Schumer’s tactics.

America faces real challenges, the last thing we need is more manufactured outrage and partisan obstruction from the likes of Chuck Schumer.

5. Trump Cut Cash for Woke California, Newsom Forced to Suspend Migrant Giveaways

Policies which were once heralded as the pinnacle of compassion and the hill upon which the Left would die have been quietly adjusted. The move is the “political two-step,” and Governor Newsom has learned the choreography of it the hard way.

According to The Post Millennial:

Newsom [has felt the need] to “scale back health insurance for illegal immigrants” and “clear out homeless encampments statewide.”

Indeed, a dizzying turnaround from the man who once promised universal healthcare. Now, he is looking to freeze Medi-Cal enrollments for illegal alien adults and even considering a $100 monthly charge for those who remain on the state’s Medicaid version.

Why the sudden change of heart? From Newsom himself:

The state must take difficult but necessary steps to ensure fiscal stability and preserve the long-term viability of Medi-Cal for all Californians.

Translation: The money tree is no longer bearing fruit for California. And the Federal government will not bail out Newsom’s folly.

Naturally, when a progressive dream implodes, there is a villain to blame. And who better than President Trump? Newsom is pinning California’s budget woes on a supposed “$16 billion drop in tax revenue from the trade turbulence experienced under Trump,” dubbing it a “Trump Slump.” But this is merely an inconvenient excuse, because the tax “slump” is from business escaping Newsom’s California.
