Several portions of audio from Joe-Joe’s infamous interview with former special counsel Robert Hur were published by Axios on Friday, and to say they were confusing would be a terrible understatement.
We the People had zero doubts Joe-Joe was senile. Countless articles had been written on the subject and the multitude of public appearances by Joe-Joe in which he digressed into doddering confusion, whether it was slurring his words, forgetting the names of his cabinet officials, or repeatedly getting lost trying to exit stages all stood as sufficient examples of his diminished state.
What these audio clips have afforded We the People:
[I]s a peek behind the curtain of what the former [White House occupant] was like when the cameras were off and his handlers had not pumped him full of whatever over-stimulating drug cocktail they were using. We now have that, and the peek is not pretty.
What makes this the largest scandal in American political history, however, is how those around Joe-Joe tried to cover this up. With unflinching evidence sitting in front of us of just how bad he was while his family and handlers insisted he could serve another four years, “it is time to bring out the receipts.” Let us begin with Sen. Adam Schiff (C/G-CA):
SCHIFF: What is in the rules, Mr. Hur, is, you don’t gratuitously do things to prejudice the subject of the investigation when you’re declining to prosecute. You don’t gratuitously add language that you know will be useful in a political campaign. You were not born yesterday. You understood what you were doing. It was a choice. You certainly didn’t have to include that language. You could have said, vis-à-vis the documents that were found at the university, the president did not recall.
There is nothing more common, you know this, I know this. There is nothing more common with a witness of any age when asked about events that are years old to say I do not recall. Indeed, they’re instructed by their attorney to do that if they have any question about it. You understood that, you made a choice. That was a political choice. It was the wrong choice.
Hur would go on to adequately defend himself, but that is such a damning attack on Hur in light of the released audio. Schiff ranted and raved at the then-special counsel, claiming he made a political choice to accurately describe Biden’s mental difficulties during the interview. What evidence did he have at the time to make those accusations? Had he heard the audio? Or was he taking his marching orders from the White House and being shamelessly political, putting the country last to mask senility?
Schiff then went on CNN and claimed Hur had “politically slimed” Biden. Will Jake Tapper have Schiff back on to grill him on what he knew and when? Because if his answer is that he did not know, then he should have to answer for why he pretended he did while grossly attacking Hur’s character in a congressional hearing and on national television.
Then it was Rep. Jamie Raskin (C/G-MD), who accused Hur of taking “cheap shots” by being honest about Biden’s condition.
It is no coincidence that both Schiff and Raskin were on the January 6th committee, which altered evidence and tried to destroy and hide testimony that countered their narrative. They were also frontmen for the Russian collusion hoax and have proven themselves to be some of the worst of the worst when it comes to putting America last for their political wants.
If the press had any standards, they would never allow either man on their airwaves again, but rest assured, they will never be held to account and will be back on Meet the Press or some other news show to push whatever latest partisan slop they have to peddle.
Of course, there must be no discussion about Biden’s senility without including former press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. She likewise slammed Hur after he released his report.
Has anyone seen Jean-Pierre lately? After a few appearances on MSNBC and the like, she has gone completely dark, and who can blame her? She was the tip of the spear in lying to the American people about Biden’s condition. She must think she can wait all this out without ever having to answer any questions about why she so brazenly and viciously attacked those who were trying to tell the truth.
We cannot forget What’s-Her-Name either. She described Hur’s report as “gratuitous, inaccurate, and inappropriate,” which was the extent of her elocution—three words placed together coherently.
Now the propaganda press. Unsurprisingly, they were not innocent bystanders in this historic scandal. Instead, networks like CNN actively promoted White House talking points in a completely uncritical manner. One of the worst offenders was their then-media watchdog, Oliver Darcy.
Tapper, who is now trying to pretend he was not an active participant in the cover-up by releasing a book on Biden’s senility, dutifully had Schiff and others on to push their baseless narrative against Hur. People like Brian Stelter likewise went after conservative news outlets for describing the interview accurately. Meanwhile, The New York Times, the AP, MSNBC, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and others were pushing the same talking points about memory loss being normal and suggesting Hur was acting politically.
There are many more clips of the Left, administration officials, and propaganda press members going after Hur. None of them have come out to apologize as of this writing, and none of them should get away with this. There should be congressional hearings on this cover-up. People should be placed under oath and made to answer questions about why they lied to the faces of the American people. Rest assured, no matter what happens, this is not the end of this.
**UPDATE**
The complete Hur interview has been released and it sets aside any claims from the left or the Biden family that Joe had any idea what was happening. He was clearly non compos mentis for (at least) the last year of his presidency.
Which raises questions: Who was wielding the autopen? And, will this negate the autopen pardons?
These will, no doubt, be topics of political fighting for many years, including a trip to The Compromised Supremes.
As for the cover-up of the serious mental decline of a United States White House chief occupant, bear in mind:
– the military was under the supposed command of someone who was in a [severely advanced debilitated state, cognitively and physically],
– the cover-up allowed persons unknown (as yet) to exercise a pardon authority that is constitutionally limited to the president, and
– this pardon authority was used to cover up and to protect family members from consequences for a level of bribery and money laundering that is unprecedented in the history of these United States.
These acts rise well past the constitutional description of “high crimes and misdemeanors.”
This is fraud, this is deliberate deception, this is criminal activity at the very highest levels of the national government, and if anyone other than Joe Biden himself authorized these pardons, the scandal is magnified tenfold—and if Joe Biden did approve these, why were they signed with the autopen?
God speed to the Trump-Vance teams.
