Quick Takes from the Past 24-48 Hours

The following is an installment of Trump-Vance team accomplishments (each article is linked for further info):

(NOTE: Relax! We the People may not have even thought of some of this stuff, but the Trump-Vance ‘A’ team is already on top of it.)

1. Banished Colonel Who Condemned the Obiden Afghanistan Withdrawal Is Now Investigating It

Lt Col Stu Scheller was thrown in the brig and then drummed out of the U.S. Marine Corps for publicly condemning the chaotic military withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Almost four years later, he is part of the team investigating The Obiden Regime’s handling of the evacuation that led to the deaths of 13 U.S. troops in a suicide attack at Kabul airport.

This marks an extraordinary turnaround for an officer who was relieved of his command and court martialed after posting a video criticizing senior officers on the day a blast ripped through American personnel guarding the evacuation from the Afghan capital.

LtCol Scheller, then commander of the advanced infantry training battalion, said:

I have been fighting for 17 years. I am willing to throw it all away to say to my senior leaders: ‘I demand accountability.’

His protest made him a hero to supporters of Trump, as they accused Joe Biden of botching the withdrawal and leaving billions of dollars of weapons to fall to the Taliban.

He said at the time:

The military is in desperate need of change and there can be no change without disrupters.

Further:

For those who criticize, wanting stability and the status quo… you are the real problem.

On Wednesday he was named to SecDef Hegseth’s new investigation.

God speed LtCol Scheller.

2. Speaker Johnson to Newsmax: Bill Achieves Trump Agenda ‘on Steroids’

Republicans proved in less than two years during President Trump’s first administration they could bring about the “greatest economy in the history of the world,” and by passing the “one, big, beautiful bill, [w]e’re going to do that again on steroids,” Johnson (R-LA) said, shortly after the House voted to pass the budget bill that the president said will push his America First agenda.

The legislation is called “one, big, beautiful bill” for a reason, Johnson said:

It’s everything from ensuring border security to restoring American energy dominance. We’re going to prevent the largest tax increase in U.S. history, so the equivalent here is probably the largest tax cut in the history of the country. We’re going to get the economy going again by cutting regulations, cutting down on the permitting time for things to get the economy going again.

Further:

Now that the bill is heading to the Senate, House Republicans will continue on their one-team effort between the chambers to get it passed.

Johnson has been working closely with Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) including speaking with him Wednesday night and helping him whip another vote in the Senate on the bill.

3. Canada’s Energy-Rich Province Signals to Trump It Is Ready for New Pipelines, Partnership

Top oil and gas executives in Canada and the United States confirmed Alberta’s top industry companies would love to get past any tariff issues and begin building pipelines.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith stated:

It turns out China is not developing the way we thought.

Further:

They’re not becoming a more democratic jurisdiction, and they’re using capitalism against us to hollow out our various industries.

And:

So, I think there has been a lot of re-calibration that has had to happen about our relationship with China, and certainly the U.S. president is causing us to have that rethink.

Smith is now Canada’s most prominent conservative.

She said she believed it was possible for Alberta to strike a new energy partnership and build new pipelines to the United States even in the midst of a tariff dispute between the U.S. and Canada so that both countries could capitalize on the energy-thirsty Artificial Intelligence revolution and to expand North America’s booming liquefied natural gas exports to Europe.

Smith said of the relationship with Trump:

We’re looking to see if we can normalize our partnership, so that we can get into talking about what those new pipelines might look like.

Further:

Not only would we be able to have, I think, a bitumen heavy oil pipeline that would link our heavy oil to the heavy oil refining capacity in the U.S. Gulf Coast, but also the opportunity for us to continue to provide additional supply of gas so that it can feed some of the European markets.

Top oil and gas executives in Canada and the United States confirmed Alberta’s top industry would love to get past any tariff issues and begin building pipelines southward.

4. Trump Has Announced Another Tariff Update

President Trump on Friday recommended a 50 percent tariff on the European Union starting next month, a sign that trade talks have been unproductive.

Trump stated:

Our discussions with them are going nowhere! Therefore, I am recommending a straight 50% Tariff on the European Union, starting on June 1, 2025. There is no Tariff if the product is built or manufactured in the United States. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Trump’s announcement came shortly after he threatened to impose a tariff on Apple if the company didn’t begin manufacturing their iPhones in the United States.

He wrote:

I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhone’s that will be sold in the United States of America will be manufactured and built in the United States, not India, or anyplace else.

Further:

If that is not the case, a Tariff of at least 25% must be paid by Apple to the U.S. Thank your for your attention to this matter!

5. Americans Give Trump Huge Marks for ‘Upholding the Constitution’

A majority of U.S. voters gave President Trump high marks for upholding the Constitution, according to a new Rasmussen poll. And he did so despite receiving nonstop negative coverage from the legacy media.

Americans have learned the Obiden team repeatedly lied about his deteriorating physical and mental health.

According to Rasmussen Reports:

A bullish 52% of likely voters gave Trump a “’good’ or ‘excellent’ rating for the job he has done in ‘preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution.’

In May 2024, only 44% of respondents said Biden did a good or excellent job at upholding the Constitution.

According to the Rasmussen poll released Wednesday:

[A] whopping 72% of voters believe The Obiden Regime’s cover-up of his numerous health problems is a “serious scandal.”

Further:

One of the most egregious ways Biden subverted the Constitution was by not ensuring the laws Congress had passed—notably, the statute banning illegal border crossings—were enforced.

Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution requires the president to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” In this measure, Biden was a woeful failure.

Meanwhile, Trump’s decisive actions to secure the border and remove illegal aliens from the homeland is in line with his constitutional mandate to ensure federal immigration laws are enforced.

Ironically, it is because Trump is trying to ensure compliance with U.S. laws that he is being viciously attacked by the Left and their establishment media puppets.

Final thought: Perhaps the uninformed masses are catching on to the intentional destructive ways of the communist/globalist crime syndicate.
