Now, as riots consume their streets and protesters burn American flags, they are discovering something important. Their resistance movement is crumbling, and they cannot stop what is coming next.
The chaos started in Los Angeles, where anti-ICE rioters have terrorized the city for five straight nights. Nearly 200 arrests later, Mayor Karen Bass still cannot control her streets. In Chicago, the violence turned deadly when a car plowed through a crowd of protesters. Seattle watched as militants tore down the American flag at a federal building and set it ablaze. These are not peaceful demonstrations. They are coordinated attacks on federal authority.
President Trump is not backing down. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is deploying elite Special Response Teams to five Leftist-run cities: Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, and Northern Virginia. These tactical units, similar to SWAT teams, typically go after the most dangerous targets. Now they are headed to America’s sanctuary cities.
The timing could not be clearer. As rioters throw rocks at police and burn American symbols, the federal government is sending a message.
These are not regular ICE agents.
They are tactical specialists trained for high-risk operations.

These riots are not going to deter us. We are here doubling down and enforcement operations are going to happen. If anything, we will be arresting more illegal aliens in these locations.
Trump spoke forcefully at Fort Bragg on Tuesday. He called the rioters “animals” who “proudly carry the flags of other countries.”
“They don’t carry the American flag,” Trump said. “They only burn it.”

The president’s message resonates beyond rhetoric. While Los Angeles burns under curfew and Chicago descends into violence, ICE continues its work. In Sterling, Virginia, agents arrested nearly a dozen people outside immigration court on Wednesday. These were not violent criminals. They were visa overstayers and deportation orders who thought showing up to court would protect them. They were wrong.
But the resistance is not giving up. Hundreds of “No Kings Day” protests are planned for Saturday, June 14. The largest gathering targets Philadelphia, one of the five cities receiving tactical teams. Organizers promise to “reject authoritarianism” across the country, from city blocks to small towns.
Trump has a different plan for June 14. He is throwing a military parade in Washington to celebrate the Army’s 250th anniversary. Tanks, planes, and “all sorts of things,” he promised reporters. Any protesters who show up? “They’re going to be met with very big force.”
The contrast could not be starker. While the communist/globalist crime syndicate organizes protests and their cities burn, Trump deploys tactical teams and plans military celebrations. While sanctuary mayors issue curfews they cannot enforce, federal agents arrest immigration violators at courthouses. While rioters burn American flags, the president promises consequences.
This is not only about immigration anymore. It is about whether federal law means anything in America’s biggest cities. For years, sanctuary jurisdictions operated on the assumption they could simply refuse to cooperate with ICE. They believed their local politics trumped federal authority.
The deployment of tactical teams sends a clear message:
