It’s not like an Obama endorsement is worth much in a general election, but liberals love him so getting snubbed has got to sting. The former president issued a series of endorsements for the midterm elections, which included a couple of bonafide socialists, but Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke was left off the list. Does this mean Obama has embraced socialism but isn’t quite ready for hipster doofusism? Probably, but the omission could just be an oversight due to Obama’s tragic laziness.
Obama issued a list of 260 democrats he’s endorsing in the upcoming midterms, which includes both state and federal candidates.
“The Democratic Party has always made the biggest difference in the lives of the American people when we lead with conviction, principle, and bold, new ideas,” said Obama in a statement.
So what he’s actually saying is that the Democratic Party has never made a difference in the lives of Americans. No seriously, when have democrats ever had conviction, principle, or bold ideas? The correct answer is: never.
“Our incredible array of candidates up and down the ticket, all across the country, make up a movement of citizens who are younger, more diverse, more female than ever before,” Obama said.
And by incredible, he means socialist kooks. One of his endorsees is NY candidate for the House Of Representatives, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is a “democratic socialist.” What this means is that she’s a communist running under the banner of the Democratic Party. She also happened to be incredibly stupid and can’t even explain basics things about her leftist platform. Ocasio-Cortez is running unopposed, so it’s really a bold move for Obama to endorse her.
Another socialist getting an endorsement from Obama is Florida governor candidate Andrew Gillum. He’s a Bernie Sanders-approved commie and also employs an outreach director who thinks Republican voters are “dumbf*cks.” I can see why Obama would endorse a guy like this. It also probably doesn’t hurt that Gillum is black.
Missing from the list is an endorsement for hipster doofus Beto O’Rourke, who is challenging incumbent Republican Ted Cruz for his Texas Senate seat. O’Rourke is bankrolled by Hollywood, has a bad drunk driving conviction, is a white guy pretending to be Hispanic, and lies a lot, so it seems odd that Obama wouldn’t give him the nod. Maybe proper tribute is required for an Obama endorsement and O’Rourke hasn’t gotten his knees dirty yet.
Actually I’m almost certain that Obama isn’t endorsing O’Rourke because the former president isn’t well liked in Texas. An Obama endorsement in Texas is like getting a thumb’s up from Satan himself. Which is to say, Obama endorsements are complete bullshit if he can’t support certain candidates because of where they are running. It also shows how bullshit Democratic Party platforms are if they can’t appeal to the nation as a whole.
Of the candidates he did endorse, Obama said, “They’re Americans who aren’t just running against something, but for something.”
That’s some rare truth coming from Barack “You Can Keep Your Doctor” Obama. These candidates are running for something including higher taxes, massive expansion of government social programs, and much less freedom for you and I. Hey, Obama didn’t say they were running for something good.
