A scumbag opened fire in a Pittsburgh Synagogue on Saturday, killing 11 innocent people and wounding 6 more. Naturally the left can’t let this tragedy go by without exploiting the dead to promote unconstitutional gun control because that’s what horrible people do. Nobody is more horrible than Barack Obama when it comes to exploitation and promoting his far-left agenda so he danced over the bodies of the dead to push gun control. And he did it in as dumb of a way as we’ve come to expect from the former president.

What’s this “we” stuff, Obama? Since when has Obama or any democrat made it easy for someone to get a gun? If he had ever done anything to ease the unconstitutional roadblocks to legal gun ownership, maybe everyone wouldn’t hate him so much.
This statement implies that “we” or the country made it too easy for the Synagogue shooter to get his hands on the weapons he used, which is a typical fact-free liberal statement. According to CNN, shooter Robert Bowers legally purchased 6 guns since 1996 and had a concealed carry permit. What that means is that he passed multiple background checks and went through the Pennsylvania licensing process, which includes a 45-day Sheriff’s investigation. That’s not exactly too easy, now is it?
Obama is also saying that it’s too easy for people who shouldn’t have a gun to get one, which is again a load of crap. If Bowers was able to legally purchase 6 firearms and get a concealed carry permit, that means there was nothing in his background that would have alerted law enforcement to him being a risk. In fact, there is this:
A CNN review of criminal records found a 2015 traffic citation against Bowers for allegedly driving without tags.
And they still sold him a gun!?!
“At this point we have no knowledge that Bowers was known to law enforcement before today,” said FBI special agent Bob Jones.
So Bowers had no criminal history and there were no red flags that would have caught authorities’ attention. In other words, this was not someone who shouldn’t have a gun right up until he committed mass murder. What law does Obama thinks will stop seemingly normal law-abiding citizens from snapping and going on a killing spree?
In reality, what Obama said was that we need to stop making it so easy for people who want to harm innocent people to get their hands on a gun. Okay, how do you tell who the people who want to harm the innocent are? How do you differentiate them from the people who don’t want to harm the innocent?
Perhaps Obama is suggesting that as part of an expanded background check system a psychic reading should be required to purchase a firearm. FFLs could be forced to hire gypsy palm-readers to determine if an otherwise law-abiding citizen might one day go on a shooting rampage: “I see a mass shooting in your future and also you are about to go on a long journey. No gun for for you.”
The only real way to keep guns out of the hands of people who may harm the innocent is to keep guns out of everyone’s hands, which is what Obama was talking about all along. This isn’t about any law that can stop a potential mass shooter from getting a gun because that’s impossible; it’s about blowing up the 2nd Amendment and banning private gun ownership.
Obama said that this is something that “we” need to do but don’t include me in that madness. Whenever there is a high-profile shooting liberals exploit the occasion to call for disarming the American people, but to me a tragedy like the one that happened in Pittsburgh shows the need for more people to be armed to defend against crazy motherf*ckers like Robert Bowers. What we really need to do is stop making it so hard for good people to be able to defend themselves.
