Good Guy With A Gun Stops Mass Shooting At Alabama McDonald’s

There were two mass shooting attempts on Saturday: one at a Pittsburgh Synagogue and one at an Alabama McDonald’s. In Pittsburgh, 11 innocent people were killed while in Alabama only the gunman died. The difference? There was an armed citizen present at the Alabama McDonald’s who engaged the armed maniac and saved an untold number of lives. I don’t suspect the liberal media will spend too much time talking about this hero because it goes against their narratives that good guys with guns can’t stop bad guys with guns and that guns don’t save lives, only kill.

WBRC reports that a father and his two sons ate a meal at a Birmingham, AL McDonald’s Saturday night. The had finished up and were walking out the door when a masked gunman burst in and started shooting indiscriminately at customers and employees. The father drew his own gun and returned fire, engaging the masked lunatic in a major gunfight.

Employee Markus Washington said he was making some Quarter-Pounders when the bullets started flying. He ran to a freezer and hid with other employees, saying he heard in excess of 15 gun shots.

“All we hear is like different gunfire, so in my mind, I’m imagining everybody is dead. He’s looking for us,” said Washington.

But thankfully it wasn’t a massacre, because the unidentified father was there with his gun. The father struck the gunman several times and that piece of shit ended up dying at the hospital. The father and one of his teenage sons were also hit in the gunfight, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Washington is glad the liberal media narrative about good guys with guns is complete bullshit and had this to save about the brave father:

“He’s my hero. Because I can only imagine how it would’ve went if he wasn’t armed. We might not be here having this interview,” Washington said.

Police say they do not expect to bring the father up on charges, which is a weird way of saying this awesome individual saved the lives of very single person in that McDonald’s with a brave and selfless act.

Authorities also say they are trying to determine if the gunman intended on robbing the McDonald’s or if he was attempting a mass killing. Really? The asshole ran in and immediately started shooting at people. That’s not how you rob a place, even for a seriously stupid criminal. That is however how someone attempts to rack up a body count. There is no question that this armed father stopped a potential massacre.

While we are on the subject of the local police being weird about this, check out this quote from Birmingham police spokesman Sgt. Bryan Shelton:

“Things like this are difficult for both families. The gentleman who unfortunately lost his life, the teenage boy who is in the hospital recovering from his injuries and the father who is also recovering from his injuries,” said Shelton.

Why is it unfortunate that the gunman, someone who was intent on killing innocent people, lost his life? It was either him or the customers and employees of McDonald’s. I say the right guy died in this situation and it’s extremely fortunate that the armed father was present and willing to lay his own life on the line to stop this madman. On top of that, the father saved the taxpayers the cost of a trial and incarceration. There’s nothing about this story that isn’t fortunate, except for the fact that the father and one of his sons were also shot.

Now imagine if there had been an armed citizen at the Synagogue in Pittsburgh. Instead of talking about a tragic mass shooting and exploiting the dead to push gun control, liberals could ignore yet another story about a good guy with a gun stopping a bad guy with a gun.
