Joy Behar’s Definition Of An Assault Rifle Is Too Funny For Words

“Assault rifle” is a term made up by liberals and it doesn’t represent anything that actually exists. They use this term to describe semi-automatic rifles that they think look scary but function no differently than any other rifle the fires one shot per trigger pull. Because gun-hating liberals don’t know jack-squat about the things they despise so much, they assign supernatural powers to these ordinary weapons, saying they kill hundreds with only a steely stare. Joy Behar was put on the spot and forced to give her definition of an “assault rifle” and according to her they are weapons capable of killing everyone instantaneously.

On The View today, the chickens were clucking about gun control because of the Synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh over the weekend. Naturally the mostly liberal panel blamed the AR-15 used by Robert Bowers to kill 11 people and not the asshole who actually pulled the trigger.

Meghan McCain was trying to steer the conversation towards a need for love and tolerance, but co-host Joy Behar wasn’t having any of it.

“Love is good, but you need laws. You need a lot of laws. The fact that some of these crazies all have guns is kind of, you know — it’s not about love and understanding anymore. It’s about laws. Change the laws, you change the behavior,” said Behar.

There is something like 20,000 gun control laws on the books in the United Sates from the local level to the federal government and criminals ignore every single one. What are the chances that Joy Behar has an idea for one more gun law that scumbags will suddenly obey?

Sunny Hostin chimed in by agreeing that AR-15s are evil and must be banned. At that point McCain tried to slow things down by saying, “I didn’t think we were going to have a conversation about AR-15s…I wanted to have a conversation about tolerance.”

Behar pretended to allow McCain to talk about tolerance, but she couldn’t even look at her. Behar then snapped and interrupted, because f*ck tolerance, she wanted to talk about guns. And she wanted to talk about guns in the weirdest way possible. Behar accused the NRA of promoting gun control because they are racist against black people. Oddly, no one called her out on this but McCain did call Behar’s bluff:

“Do you want to define what an assault rifle is? Just define it,” said McCain.

If you are like me and start drinking in the early afternoon, put down your beer for this one:

“It looks like a machine gun that can kill a lot of people at once,” replied Behar.

It sounds like to me that she just described a bomb shaped like a machine gun. She certainly didn’t come close to defining a semi-automatic rifle. So according to Behar, an AR-15 is capable of killing a lot of people at once. How? It fires a single shot every time the trigger is pulled. What she’s describing would be something that fires 20 or 30 rounds simultaneous and in different directions with a single trigger pull.

The only thing I can think of is that liberals have a hysterical fear of guns. Maybe just the sight of an AR-15 causes liberals to faint and die. If you were to show an AR-15 to group of liberals, perhapse it could trigger a mass die-off.

Behar’s take on the AR-15 is ridiculous, but there are amazingly a couple of truths in what she had to say on the subject. When she was ranting about making more gun control laws, she said this is how you control human behavior. Gun control is not nor has it ever been about making people safer, it’s all about controlling the way people behave.

The other truth that Behar stumbled upon is that liberals trying to ban AR-15’s has nothing to do with how the weapon functions and everything to do with how scary they think it looks. She said it looks like a machine gun, so it must be a machine gun and has to be banned.

If we are going to start banning things because they look unpleasant, Joy Behar is in some deep shit because she is an assault on the eyes. Come to think of it, she’s a pretty good definition of an assault weapon: she basically functions like a regular human but she’s scary looking and no one wants to see her brought into a school, movie theater, or house of worship.
