In January of this year Donald Trump reportedly called places like Africa, Central America, and Haiti “shithole countries.” The President denied saying this, but because it came from an anonymous source and was completely unsubstantiated, liberals believed it and reacted with appropriate hysterical outrage. Most liberals got this out of their system within a week, but one Haitian immigrant just woke up from an 11-month nap and is furious at Trump. The new mayor of Palm Beach took office shaking his fist at Trump over these fictitious “racist” comments.
Last January the President held a bipartisan meeting with lawmakers to discus possible solutions to our broken immigration system. The liberal media reported that while talking about Africa, Central America and Haiti, Trump asked, “Why do we want all these people from ‘shithole countries’ coming here?”
Trump also allegedly said that he wanted more immigrants from Norway and expressed his desire to get rid of Haitian refugees. Trump denied ever saying these things, but he’s Trump, so this became a fact to liberals.
Now that almost a year has passed, one Haitian immigrant finally got around to hitting Trump back on this, as reported by the Sun Sentinel:
Palm Beach County’s new mayor, Mack Bernard, opened his tenure Tuesday with a message for President Donald Trump, who was to arrive in the coming hours at his Palm Beach mansion a few miles away.
Why does a county have a mayor? They just can’t do politics right in Florida, huh?
“I would like to let the president know the new mayor of Palm Beach County is not from a shithole country. He’s from the beautiful island of Haiti,” Bernard said.
Bernard is an immigrant from Haiti and he speaks about himself in the third-person, which makes him a double-threat.
This is of course a lie, because if Bernard is from Haiti, he is from a shithole country. Haiti is a poor filthy crime-ridden third-world catastrophe, which is the literal definition of a shithole. All the proof of that is in Bernard living in the US instead of his home country. If Haiti is such a beautiful place, why doesn’t he live there? The answer is because it’s a dangerous and desperate place to live.
There is an episode of Seinfeld where character George Costanza is in a business meeting, stuffing his face with shrimp. One of the other men in the meeting makes a joke at George’s expense saying, “Hey George, the ocean called; they’re running out of shrimp.” George was humiliated but it wasn’t until much later that he came up with what he thought was a perfect comeback. He went through an elaborate and obsessive plan to get himself in another meeting with the guy who zinged him to deliver the lame line, “Well, the Jerk Store called, and they’re running out of you.”
This is basically what Mack Bernard did. Reeling form Trump’s alleged comments, he got himself elected to the Palm Beach county commission and eventually mayor just so 11 months later he could “jerk store” President Trump. Just like George Costanza, Bernard’s comeback was an anti-climactic dud.
