I’m surprised the leftist “Racism Patrol” hasn’t sounded the alarm over this one. A Black man was arrested in New Orleans for making a bomb threat but he claims he was merely asking to use the bathroom to make a bowl movement. If liberals freak out because black people have the cops called on them for barbecuing or selling water, surely they should erupt in outrage over a black man getting arrested for needing to make a #2. As it turns out, this guy was full of crap, but not in that way and really did make a bomb threat.
NOLA.com reports that 30-year-old Arthur Posey walked into a New Orleans Willie’s Chicken Shack and made what was interpreted by employees as a bomb threat. The cops caught up with him a few blocks away and he had a novel defense.
Posey claimed to the officer he told a male employee he was going to “’blow the bathroom up,’ in reference to a bowel movement,” the warrant states.
The problem is, the employee said, “Mr. Posey never told him anything about a bathroom.”
According to the warrant, the restaurant’s manager said that a man later identified as Posey went into the restaurant and approached the food preparation area, then asked her what time the restaurant closed. She told the man she did not know when the restaurant closed, the manager told police. The manager stated the man, who wore a green hat, blue jacket and carried a white bag, then replied, “Y’all about to close right now because I’m going to get a bomb and blow this place up.”
Another Willie’s Chicken Shack employee told police she heard Posey, “say he was going to get a bomb and put it under the middle table of the restaurant closest to the front door,” the warrant also states.
The case that Posey didn’t urgently need to drop a deuce is reinforced by the fact that he never took a shit and cops found him wandering around in another establishment a few blocks away. If he really had to go, he would have found another place even if Willie’s Chicken Shack wouldn’t let him use the facilities.
Also, I don’t thinking “blowing up the bathroom” is a slang term for taking a dump. He could have said he needed to paint the bowl or that he was taking the Browns to the Super Bowl and that would have been fine. Even if he said he needed to “drop a bomb” in the toilet that would have been acceptable, but blowing the place up is going to be considered a terrorist threat every time.
Posey was charged with two counts of, “communicating of false information of planned arson,” which sounds weird as hell to me. How about just “making a bomb threat” or “making a terrorist threat?”
In any case, Posey appears to be setting up an “Ebonics” defense in which he’s claiming that the employees misunderstood his black slang. I don’t think this is going to work for the simple fact that there is a 99.9% certainty that the employees of Willie’s Chicken Shack in New Orleans are also black.
This happened last week and so far liberals haven’t gone crazy over it, but I feel like they will eventually catch on and we can expect to see “Black Man Arrested For Trying To Use The Bathroom” headlines. If Posey turns out to be a black Muslim, the outrage will be even more furious.
