Not GRRR-EAT: Prison Could Await Man Who Urinated On Kellogg’s Assembly Line

A Tennessee man had his day in court and now faces a hefty bit of prison time for peeing on a Kellogg’s conveyor belt at a Memphis plant and recorded the incident on video.

Then in a feat of dumbassery, Gregory Stanton uploaded the incriminating video to social media with likely had no idea that he would soon face federal charges for his act of criminal mischief.

He could end up getting thrown into the slam for up to three years and now that his name is all over the internet he will be radioactive to future employers when he gets out.

When the video first emerged, The UK Guardian reported “Urine trouble: FDA investigates video of Kellogg’s worker relieving self on food”:

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has opened a criminal investigation after a video of a man urinating on a Kellogg’s factory assembly line surfaced online, the company announced.

The video, which was uploaded to worldstarhiphop.com on Friday, shows a man urinating on cereal as it comes off the assembly line. It then pans to a sign featuring the Kellogg’s logo.

An internal investigation by the food giant found that the video was recorded in 2014 at a factory in Memphis, Tennessee.

A statement from the company said products “potentially affected” by the urine would be past their expiration dates by now.

“Products that could have been potentially affected were Rice Krispies Treats, Rice Krispies Treats cereal and puffed rice cake products, all of which would be past expiration date,” Kellogg’s said in a statement to WREG News.

The video was shot at a time when Kellogg’s and a union were involved in a labor dispute.

The feds quickly found the culprit and Stanton has pleaded guilty, his sentencing looms.

According to Memphis station WMC Action News 5, “Man pleads guilty to urinating on Kellogg’s assembly line at Memphis plant”:

A Memphis man is facing three years in prison after admitting in court to urinating on a Kellogg’s cereal conveyor belt at a local food manufacturing plant.

Gregory Stanton, 49, pleaded guilty in November to tampering with consumer products. A federal grand jury indicted him in September for tainting consumer products with the intent to cause serious injury.

Stanton worked for the plant in 2014 when he recorded himself urinating on the conveyor belt, then uploaded it to the internet in 2016.

As soon as the company learned of the video a Kellogg’s spokesperson said the company alerted law enforcement and regulators.

“It has been more than two years since this incident came to our attention, and we are pleased that the responsible individual was brought to justice. We want to thank the Food & Drug Administration and US Attorneys’ office for their commitment to this case.”

Talk about pissing in your cornflakes…

Life’s definitely Not GRRR-EAT! for Stanton.
