A black New York woman, Jazmine Headley who took a seat on the floor while waiting in a food stamp center and was told to stand but refused to do so, then became “disorderly,” “loud,” “irate” and used her baby as a “shield,” when police were called, will face no charges for resisting arrest, which she clearly did.

Police Officers Who Manhandled Jazmine Headley and Her 1-Year-Old Baby Will Not Be Punished

If you’re a New York police officer, apparently manhandling women and violently ripping a 1-year-old baby from his mother’s arms isn’t a punishable offense.

And if you’re a black woman who refuses to obey the commands of police officers and by doing so endager your child but get enough liberal idiots to protest in favor of that behavior, apparently nothing happens to you either.

As according to Politico, an NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau review into Jazmine Headley’s violent arrest last week in Brooklyn found no wrongdoing on the part of the NYPD officers involved.

“The NYPD has conducted a strenuous review of what happened, because the public deserves answers, and we must take every opportunity to continuously strengthen how the NYPD serves the people of New York City,” Police Commissioner James O’Neill said in a statement. “This review shows that prior to the incident depicted on public video, NYPD officers are working with the client to de-escalate the situation.”

According to the department, the review was based on body cam footage, publicly available video, interviews with Jazmine Headley and her mother, and 911 calls.

Additionally, the review yielded three recommendations for policy changes moving forward:

Establishing guidelines for interactions between NYPD and HRA officers
Summoning an NYPD supervisor when police respond to calls at HRA facilities
Reviewing tactics and training programs for situations in which police officers encounter someone holding a young child.
In a viral video, NYPD officers are seen violently prying Headley’s 1-year-old son from her arms, lifting them off the floor of a Human Resources Administration office.

I have one policy change to recommend to people who are contacted by police “moving forward” (God, I hate that phrase):

WHEN POLICE ASK YOU TO DO SOMETHING JUST FUCKING DO IT!

In the days following this incident, Mayor Bill de Blasio’s refusal to admonish the NYPD for their actions has drawn harsh criticism.

And in the days that followed the NYPD received some defense, “. . . the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association said they were simply doing their best in an “impossible situation.

PBA President Patrick J. Lynch said police did not create the dispute at the office, but were called in, as they often are, to deal with the failings of the city government. The police aimed to enforce the law and protect the mother, her child and others in the office, some of whom were making the situation worse, Lynch said.

The event would have unfolded much differently if those at the scene had simply complied with the officers’ lawful orders,” he said. “The immediate rush to condemn these officers leaves their fellow cops wondering: when confronted with a similar impossible scenario, what do you want us to do? The answer cannot be ‘do nothing'”

Exactly right. Simply comply, people. I know that’s hard for you because you are usually assholes to begin with otherwise the police wouldn’t be contacting you, but why does compliance never seem to happen in any of the numerous incidents like this one that people cry outrage about?

These “victims” are only victims because they create their own problems.

And by the way, Headley was, not surprisingly, far from being an angelic mother. 

“After the arrest, Headley was held on a warrant from an unrelated credit card fraud case in New Jersey. On Wednesday she was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and complete some community service in that case.”
