Gun Confiscation Begins in New Jersey

Via The American Thinker

President Obama and President Trump were both right, Obama when he told us elections have consequences and Trump in his 2018 stump speech that a consequence of Democrat victories would be renewed attacks on the Second Amendment. New Jersey’s ban on high-capacity magazines has been upheld by a federal court, opening the door to door knock gun confiscation and making off-duty police officers subject to criminal prosecution. The inmates are officially running the asylum.

This law is one of those “sensible restrictions” on gun ownership that liberals like to talk about but that criminals will ignore as the judge who ruled the law constitutional says that despite the asterisk put next to the Second Amendment by the court assures us there is nothing to worry about…

Muslim Amazon workers protest against tech giant, claim they don’t have enough time to pray

Via The Blaze

Well, it is called work…

Muslim workers at an Amazon warehouse in Shakopee, Minnesota, are protesting against their employer, claiming rigorous work requirements prevent them from praying.

Because of strict workload demands, Muslims, who are required to pray five times per day, are struggling to both meet the arduous demands of their employer while at the same time maintaining strict observance of their religious requirements. Some workers, such as 28-year-old Khadra Ibrahin, told Vox many Muslim employees are foregoing bathroom breaks in order to both pray and meet work requirements.

“Breaks make our rate slow down, and then we’d be at risk of getting fired, and so most of the time we choose prayer over bathroom, and have learned to balance our bodily needs,” Ibrahin said.

So on Friday, warehouse workers, in addition to others in the community, protested outside Amazon’s Shakopee fulfillment center, demanding better workplace conditions for Muslim employees.

Joining Friday’s protest was Rep-elect Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), the first Somali-American representative elected to Congress.

“Amazon doesn’t work if you don’t work,” she said during the protest, “and it’s about time we make Amazon understand that.”

Migrants’ audacious blackmail of U.S. won’t end well

By Cheryl K. Chumley

A bunch of migrants from Central America reportedly sent a list of demands to the White House, by way of the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana, that went like this: Pay us $50,000, and we’ll go home. Don’t pay us, and we’ll stay. Oh, and in the meantime, speed up the asylum process so more of us can enter the United States.

Does this scenario end well — in anybody’s imaginations?

This isn’t just audacious. It’s outright extortion.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the migrants each want $50,000 — individually, not as a group. And there are two groups of caravaners calling for the blackmail fee; the first group, about 100 in numbers, was led by a guy named Alfonso Guerrero Ulloa, from Honduras.

“It may seem like a lot of money to you,” Ulloa said to the San Diego Union-Tribune. “But it is a small sum compared to everything the United States has stolen from Honduras.”

UNC faculty threaten not to teach over Confed statue

Via Campus Reform

University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill faculty members are threatening not to teach during the first week of the spring semester if the school approves a proposal to house in a new $5 million building a Confederate statue torn down by protesters.

Faculty members from the UNC-CH School of Education and other departments signed a letter stating that they will not teach during the first week of the spring semester if the Board of Governors approves the Silent Sam proposal during a scheduled meeting on Dec. 14. UNC education policy Ph.D. student James Sadler tweeted out the letter.

The threat comes amid a grading strike consisting of TAs and faculty who are withholding final grades in protest of the Board of Trustees decision to approve the $5 million plan.

“[Silent Sam’s] continuing presence on our campus is contrary to our School’s commitment to the transformative power of education. It is contrary to our belief, as embodied in our mission, that ‘education has the power to break down barriers, lift up individuals, and empower communities to rise and thrive,’” states the letter signed by UNC faculty and TAs.

Via The Daily MailI

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son has been banned from Facebook after he posted that ‘all Muslims should leave Israel’.

Yair Netanyahu’s, 27, took to Twitter to air his grievances that he had been temporarily blocked over apparent anti-Muslim posts, calling the social network a ‘dictatorship’.

In a message which was taken down by Facebook, Yair called for all Muslims to leave Israel, in the wake of a series of deadly attacks.

His post read: ‘Do you know where there are no attacks? In Iceland and in Japan where coincidentally there are no Muslims.

In another post he wrote that there were only two possible solutions for peace, either ‘all Jews leave (Israel) or all Muslims leave’.

‘I prefer the second option,’ he added.

His comments came after two soldiers were shot dead on Thursday at a central West Bank bus station near a settlement.
