Now that they are mere weeks away from taking control of the House, Democrats are revving their engines for what could be hundreds of separate investigations into President Trump, his family, his business history and his associates.
With Mueller likely to play Santa and deliver plenty of fodder to the vicious Trump haters to fuel their investigations, a number of incoming committee chairs are practically drooling over the prospect that they will be fixtures on nightly cable and Sunday morning shows as they seek retribution for Hillary’s stunning loss in 2016 and the party’s grasp on the presidency.
One of those who will be leading the lynch mob is Rep. Elijah Cummings who appeared on CNN’s “State Of The Union” with Jake Tapper and continued the onslaught against the White House that has been conducted by his beady-eyed Hollywood cohort Adam Schiff who last Sunday floated the idea that Trump will be immediately indicted by the Justice Department once he leaves office and arrested.
As one of Trump’s most unhinged haters, Cummings doesn’t want to wait and during his chat with Tapper, admitted that he wants the DOJ to change laws and reverse protocol in order to indict a sitting president in what would be tantamount to a coup d’etat.

Via The Hill, “Cummings: DOJ should ‘definitely’ reconsider laws against indicting sitting president”:
A top Democrat on Sunday said the Department of Justice (DOJ) should “definitely” reconsider laws against indicting sitting presidents, amid multiple ongoing investigations circling around President Trump.
“I think we should always reconsider laws and regulations, and this is one we definitely should reconsider,” Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
DOJ guidelines state that a sitting president cannot be indicted, but some legal experts suggest that court precedent makes the regulation ripe for challenge.
Cummings, the likely incoming House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman who is expected to launch new investigations into Trump’s actions once Democrats take control of the House next year, in his comments echoed fellow Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff (Calif.).
“I think the Justice Department needs to reexamine that OLC opinion, Office of Legal Counsel opinion, that you cannot indict a sitting president under circumstances in which the failure to do so may mean that person escapes justice,” said the likely incoming chairman of the House Intelligence Committee last week on CNN.
Even more troubling is that Cummings, the Democrats and their legions of TDS-afflicted zombies have now bestowed sainthood on the president’s sleazy former attorney Michael Cohen who has been singing sweet songs to Mueller in order to save his own crooked derrière.
Cummings sang the cheese-eating rat’s praises as he warmly invited the convicted felon to testify before his committee where he will be given the rock star treatment while the media will provide the coverage for a divided America that has a peculiar choice of heroes these days.
Yes, the Democrats have really stooped to this level by providing dignity to a scoundrel who has never had a shred of it in his body until the FBI’s Gestapo style raid on his office that was dialed up by Mueller last year.
Scum seeks its own level and Cummings and Cohen are two peas in a pod.
