It’s Only Racist When A White Guy Attacks Fast-Food Restaurant Employees

The first major racial outrage of the year involves a white man assaulting a black McDonald’s employee in Florida. Naturally because the man is white and the employee black, it has to be racist, right? That however doesn’t apply when a black man attacks fast food restaurant employees, because the rules of racism are set up to be a one-way street. A black man in Oklahoma shot up a Taco Bell when the drive-though employee forgot to give him hot sauce with his order and there was no outage over the racism of that attack.

White transient Daniel Willis Taylor went to a McDonald’s in St Petersburg, FL on December 31,2018. After placing an order, he noticed that there were no straws available so he asked employee Yasmine James, who is black, where the straws were. She apparently told him that it was against the law to put straws out and Taylor became irate. At this point another customer began recording the confrontation on a phone.

Taylor reached across the counter and grabbed James by the shirt. The female employee proceeded to beat the holy hell out of the white man, until other employees separated the two. Taylor then told the manager to fire James and she responded by saying he was going to jail.

“I was just asking you a f*cking question, bitch,” said Taylor.

As Taylor left, he kicked another employee in the stomach. He was arrested a short time later and charged with 2 counts of battery.

Taylor shouldn’t have grabbed James, but there was nothing about this incident that indicates it was racially motivated. Taylor didn’t use any racial slurs and chances are this white transient is mentally unstable. If anything is to blame it’s Florida’s draconian straw laws.

Despite this not being a racist attack, all of the black websites reported it like it was. The Root, Atlanta Blackstar, and Essence are all feigned outrage over a white man attacking a black McDonald’s employee.

Black activists were also furious over the racism of this non-racist attack:

None of these black websites or activists however had any problem with this story from Oklahoma reported by NewsOK that happened on the same day as the McDonald’s incident:

A gunman who complained about not getting his taco sauce early Monday opened fire at a fast food restaurant in southwest Oklahoma City, police reported.

No one was injured at the Taco Bell, 2116 SW 59, where the drive-thru window was hit by gunfire.

The employees told police a man in a car went through the drive-thru about 1:25 a.m., and then pulled back around and could be heard from outside the restaurant yelling about not getting his taco sauce with his order.

He then pulled out a gun and opened fire. Employees ran to the back of the store and locked themselves inside a bathroom, police reported.

Now here’s a key piece of information that makes the Taco Bell attack not racist:

The man is described as black, wearing a green hoodie.

Judging by the coverage and outrage, a black guy shooting at employees over missing taco sauce is less of a crime than a white guy grabbing an employee’s shirt over a missing straw. Also, the shooting is much less racist because it was committed by a black man.

You rarely get a true apples-to-apples comparison, but this is it. Both attacks occurred on the same day at fast food restaurants and involved unhappy customers who had been deprived of accessories to their meals. The verdict is: It’s only racist when the white guy does it.
