Tuesday night Donald Trump made an impassioned case for border security and the construction of a wall along our Southern border. The fake news industry had been planning all day to “fact-check” the President’s speech, but he simply laid out the facts behind the devastation of illegal immigration, leaving lefty pseudo journalists nothing to be outraged over. Anti-Trump CNN is too invested in opposing the President to let this go, so the network’s White House correspondent dug deep and decided Trump was out of line for characterizing illegal immigrants as criminals.
In a prime-time speech President Trump made his case for holding out for a budget that includes funding for border security. He pointed out how much illegal drugs flow across our porous border and the effect it has on American lives.
“Every week, 300 of our citizens are killed by heroin alone – 90 percent of which floods across from our southern border,” Trump said.
Without declaring a national emergency like the liberals said he was going to do, Trump did define what is going on at the border as a crisis.
“This is a humanitarian crisis – a crisis of the heart and a crisis of the soul. Last month, 20,000 migrant children were illegally brought into the United States – a dramatic increase. These children are used as human pawns by vicious coyotes and ruthless gangs. One in three women are sexually assaulted on the dangerous trek up through Mexico. Women and children are the biggest victims by far of our broken system,” said Trump.
With nothing to fact-check about this speech, this is what Jim Acosta came up with to bitch about.

It is illegal to enter this country without permission, which means that people who sneak across the border are breaking the law. Another word we use for law-breakers is “criminals” which is a perfectly appropriate way to describe illegal immigrants. Is it weird that Jim Acosta doesn’t understand this?
Making Acosta’s faux outrage even more ridiculous, here are the illegal immigrants that Trump characterized as criminals:
“America’s heart broke the day after Christmas when a young police officer in California was savagely murdered in cold-blood by an illegal alien who just came across the border. The life of an American hero was stolen by someone who had no right to be in our country,” said Trump.
And:
“In California, an Air Force Veteran was raped, murdered and beaten to death with a hammer by an illegal alien with a long criminal history. In Georgia, an illegal alien was recently charged with murder for killing, beheading, and dismembering his neighbor. In Maryland, MS-13 gang members who arrived in the United States as unaccompanied minors were arrested and charged last year after viciously stabbing and beating a 16-year-old girl,” said the President.
Not only are people who sneak into the country criminals, illegal immigrants who rape and kill Americas are especially criminals. Jim Acosta’s beef with President Trump is that he referred to cold-blooded killer illegal immigrants as criminals.
So Trump says some illegal immigrants who murdered Americans are criminals and Acosta’s response is “no they’re not.” That’s beyond fake news and into the uncharted territory of idiotic news.
Earlier in the day, before Trump’s speech, Acosta got into it with White House counselor Kellyanne Conway in which she called him a “smartass.” He apparently wanted to prove her wrong by showing that he’s actually a dumbass. This is CNN’s version of winning in the Age of Trump.
