For some reason questioning the citizenship of half-black people is incredibly racist. It was racist when Barack Obama’s US citizenship was questioned (accept for when Hillary started the whole thing) and now it racist that the same thing is happening to Kamala Harris. The California Senator recently announced she is running for President in 2020 and one dude, who the media describes as all conservatives, thinks she may be ineligible to serve because of citizenship issues. If she were Hispanic and a Republican like Ted Cruz, questioning her citizenship would be fine, but as a half-black democrat it’s the most racist thing ever.

Does this actually mean Kamala Harris is not a natural born US citizen and thus ineligible to become POTUS? Let’s go to the tape:
Okay, Kamala was born in 1964 to immigrant parents. Her mom was from India and her dad from Jamaica. Her parents did arrive in the US less than 5 years before she was born and there’s no way that either of them were US citizens at the time of her birth. At age 7, her parents divorced and Kamala moved to Canada until she graduated high school at 18. These are all facts, but what do they mean?
The Constitution has 3 requirements to be president: be at least 35-years-old, live in the US for at least 14 years prior to running, and be a natural born citizen. According to Wohl, Kamala is not a natural born US citizen because her parents weren’t citizens or hadn’t lived in the country for at least 5 years prior to Kamala’s birth. Unfortunately for this theory, there is no such definition of “natural born citizen” in the Constitution and the Supreme Court has never render a decision on it.
The only thing the Constitution says about citizenship is in the 14th Amendment:
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
This is of course birthright citizenship which President Trump and the Republicans are trying to get rid of because it allows illegal aliens to sneak in and have babies who are instant US citizens. This appears to apply to Kamala Harris as well. She’s an anchor baby but definitely a US citizen.
The only issue would be if she became a Canadian citizen in the 11 years she lived in Montreal. The US doesn’t recognize dual citizenship, but also doesn’t have any official laws against it. It’s unlikely Kamala ever renounced her US citizenship so again, like it or not, she’s a US citizen.
It may seem like it sucks that Kamala Harris is a US citizen and thus eligible to run for president, but don’t worry. While she isn’t disqualified by citizenship, there are so many other things about her that are disqualifying that she’ll never actually occupy the White House. Plus, as much of a leftist kook and liberal moron she is, her presidential campaign promises to be hilarious and endlessly entertaining.
