Newly minted Speaker Of The House Nancy Pelosi has been drunk on power ever since regaining the mighty gavel and has been engaged in an ugly pissing contest with President Trump over the government shutdown.
In one of the snits that are what now pass for political discourse with Democrats, Pelosi went to the unprecedented length to disinvite Trump from giving the annual State Of The Union address even though she had previously extended the traditional invitation.
Not to be deterred by the foot-stomping Californian, Trump defiantly indicated that he would be giving the SOTU anyway but Pelosi then upped the ante again by escalating with a letter to the POTUS effectively canceling the speech.

It was at this point where Trump supporters were ready for a scathing statement showing Nancy who it is that wears the pants along with the announcement of an alternate venue for the SOTU.
But Trump folded…
As the Shutdown was going on, Nancy Pelosi asked me to give the State of the Union Address. I agreed. She then changed her mind because of the Shutdown, suggesting a later date. This is her prerogative – I will do the Address when the Shutdown is over. I am not looking for an….

Talk about demoralizing.
There will be those who will blow this off that Trump is just playing four-dimensional chess but there’s just no way to put lipstick on this pig.
