Can You Believe This Guy Raped And Impregnated A Woman In A Coma?

In late December of last year a woman in a vegetative state gave birth to a baby boy at an Arizona extended care facility. Obviously this woman was raped and this story was so sick that it earned the Def-Con News WTF? of the Week. After some DNA testing, police have identified the sicko and it turns out he was a nurse, charged with the woman’s care. Judging from his mugshot, is anyone shocked that this is the coma rapist?

Here’s the story from early January:

Phoenix police are investigating possible sex abuse at a nursing facility after a female patient recently became pregnant and gave birth.

Sources tell Arizona’s Family that the alleged victim has been a patient at the Hacienda HealthCare facility, which is near 16th Street and South Mountain Avenue, for at least a decade after a near-drowning incident left her in a vegetative state. That woman gave birth to a baby boy on Dec. 29.

Investigators from multiple agencies are saying next to nothing about the case, but we know that at some point last spring or summer, someone sexually assaulted a woman who was in a persistent vegetative state, and she became pregnant.

Fast forward to this week and police have caught their man as reported by AZFamily.com:

Phoenix police announced Wednesday that they have arrested a suspect on sexual assault charges after a patient gave birth at a long-term healthcare facility.

Phoenix Police Chief Jeri Williams said the suspect, 36-year-old Nathan Sutherland, is a licensed practical nurse employed at Hacienda HealthCare who was responsible for the patient’s care during the time of the assault.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson said police obtained a DNA sample from Sutherland with a court order. The DNA was tested and it was determined on Tuesday, Jan. 22 that Sutherland’s DNA matched the baby’s.

Sutherland was then arrested and booked into jail Wednesday morning on one count of sexual assault and one count of abuse of a vulnerable adult.

Now here’s a dumb thing:

According to Sutherland’s lawyer, he has no prior record and has lived in Arizona since 1993. He says that there is no evidence in this case besides the DNA collected by the Phoenix Police Department.

Yeah, but that’s some pretty good evidence. If he’s the father of the baby that came out of the coma woman, how did his DNA get in there? Was it planted? Maybe by racist cops? Did this guy hire one of OJ’s defense attorneys?

And here’s another pretty dumb thing:

Angela Gomez, the mother of a 27-year-old Hacienda patient who has been cared for by Sutherland from time to time, could hardly believe he was the suspect arrested in the case.

“He was very loving, very compassionate. Or he pretended to be. And I really trusted him. Never in my wildest dreams would I think that he would be the suspect that the PD was looking for. I suspected others, but I was wrong, and he fooled everybody,” said Gomez.

Really? I would think this guy would be at the top of the suspect list. Just look at him:

If there are any meds missing, someone took a shit in the supply closet, or the coma lady gets impregnated, this is your guy. I don’t generally believe in profiling, but he’s a one-eyed black guy with a skullet and a ponytail. This is not a professional look that one generally associates with a nurse practitioner.

The mom never suspected this guy, but thought some of the other employees may have done it? What the f*ck do these other guys look like if Sutherland was the last one she suspected?

The good news for Sutherland is that he is both black and not an illegal immigrant. Democrats will rally to his arrest because it is both “racist” and he’s the one rapist in recent memory who isn’t in this country illegally. This helps the bullshit liberal narratives on our discriminatory justice system and the law-abiding illegal immigrants.
