New Study Proves Libs Wrong! Illegal Immigrants Commit More Crimes Than Legitimate Citizens

A new study released by the Federation for American Immigration Reform or FAIR, has presented some statistics to support what we have all known for a long time now. That contrary to what liberals would like us to believe, illegal immigrants most certainly do commit more crimes than legal citizens of the United States. But their narrative never ends.

For example, just yesterday The Washington Post published a piece entitled “Trump’s Texas-Size Whoppers” a “fact check” article that you know you can’t trust because, well, it’s The Washington Post.

In it, Salvador Rizzo states, “Trump often claims that immigration leads to more crime, even though most studies show that immigrants commit crime at lower rates than the native-born, regardless of whether they entered the United States legally or illegally. The Trump administration has been undeterred by such research and routinely comes up with new, misleading statistics to make the case for a border wall between the United States and Mexico.”

OK, Sal. Here’s someone other than Trump stating the same thing and providing more facts to support their claim. Again, we’ve already known all this to be true. Especially those of us who live in the states listed. I’ve lived in two of them, my wife in three of them. We’ve lived where the illegals roost. We’ve seen it with our own eyes, now here’s what they are really like.

*Because of threats from one of our sponsors, I have replaced all instances of a certain word in the original article to “immigrant.”

Illegal Immigrants Incarcerated As Much As Five Times Rate of Legal Residents, Says New FAIR Study

(February 5, 2019, Washington, D.C.) — Illegal immigrants are incarcerated as much as five times the rate of legal residents – and on average three times the rate of legal residents – in states where they are most heavily concentrated, according to a new study published by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).

The study analyzes the most recent illegal immigrant incarceration data available from the federal government’s State Criminal Immigrant Assistance Program (SCAAP), which reimburses states for a small portion of the costs of incarcerating criminal illegal immigrants. The report looks at SCAAP payments to states with large illegal immigrant populations and compares it to the public records of state and local prisons. The states analyzed include: Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Texas and Washington which, together, comprise the majority – 65 percent – of the nation’s illegal immigrant population. Importantly, the report does not include illegal immigrants who have been convicted of federal criminal charges and are serving time in a Federal Bureau of Prison facility.

“This study should put to rest, once and for all, the notion that illegal immigrants commit crimes at a lower rate than legal residents,” said FAIR President Dan Stein. “By focusing on states with significant illegal immigrant populations and that consistently report to the SCAAP program, FAIR’s study refutes this erroneous claim,” he said. “Contrary to the popular myth, this analysis shows that when applied nationally, SCAAP data from key states suggest that illegal immigrants are incarcerated at three times the rate of legal residents, on average.”

Countering the Current Narrative:

Open-borders advocates have long claimed that illegal immigrants commit fewer crimes than native-born U.S. citizens (despite the fact that improper entry by an immigrant is, in and of itself, a federal crime) due to their fear of deportation. Previous studies claiming this narrative have omitted crucial data, such as drug and fraud offenses, often leaving Americans to believe that illegal immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than legal residents.

Key Findings:

In all SCAAP-reporting states along the Southern border, and in SCAAP-reporting interior states that are preferred destinations for unlawful migrants, illegal immigrants are incarcerated at a much higher rate than citizens and lawfully present immigrants.

SCAAP data indicate that illegal immigrants are three times as likely to be incarcerated than non-illegal immigrants.

In California, the state that boasts the largest illegal immigrant population, illegal immigrants were 3.3 times as likely as legal residents to be incarcerated. Other states where illegal immigrants are at least three times as likely to be incarcerated than legal residents include:

New Jersey (5.5 times as likely),

Arizona (4 times as likely),

Washington (3.5 times as likely),

Oregon (3.7 times as likely)
