Drum-Beating Indian Agitator Nathan Phillips Faces Defamation Lawsuit

Things are starting to heat up in the case of the Covington Catholic teens who found themselves at the center of a media-driven hate campaign over a distorted video of their confrontation with an Indian troublemaker during the March For Life last month.

The face of 16-year-old Nick Sandmann who stood his ground while Nathan Phillips banged a drum in his face went viral because he was wearing a red MAGA cap and the deranged left was promoting the narrative that ALL Trump supporters are white supremacists and that the hat was the new KKK hood.

Sandmann, his family, his classmates, and their school were deluged with threats led by multiple big media outlets along with vicious celebs on Twitter like Kathy Griffin, Alyssa Milano, and obsessive nutjob Jim Carrey.

But unlike previous victims of orchestrated hate campaigns and cyberbullying, the Sandmann family fought back by retaining the services of high-powered attorney L. Lin Wood who specializes in cases of media slander.

Wood but the media and celebs on notice last weekend by sending out letters that they had better start lawyering up for the barrage of lawsuits headed their way.

And this weekend, Wood also announced his intent to hold Phillips responsible for his role in the hate campaign.

Via LifeSite News, “Nick Sandmann’s lawyer: ‘Nathan Phillips will be sued’ over lies against Covington boys”:

One of the attorneys representing Covington High School student Nick Sandmann and his parents confirmed to LifeSiteNews that Native American activist Nathan Phillips, and some of the others who have received notices from the attorneys, “will be sued.”

Lin Wood, an Atlanta-based lawyer, told LifeSite yesterday that Phillips’ “lies and false accusations” against Sandmann and the other Covington students are “well documented.”

He also said they would be filing the first round of lawsuits “within two weeks.” Todd V. McMurtry, a Ft. Mitchell, Ky attorney, is also representing Sandmann and his parents. Doug Schloemer, a Ft. Mitchell, Ky attorney, represents a number of other students and Robert Barnes, a California attorney, is also representing families and students of Covington High School.

This is yet another wonderful development as the lawsuits may FINALLY begin holding the smear merchants and hate mob instigators accountable.

Better have plenty of wampum chief!
