Is The Jig Up For Jussie Smollett? Open Thread

Following stunning developments in the story of the “hate crime” perpetrated by two MAGA hat wearing Trump supporters on a freezing Chicago morning, it is looking more likely that gay actor Jussie Smollet is the perpetrator of a hate hoax.

Following the attack which took place last month, police were unable to confirm the accounts that the star of CBS’s “Empire” gave that his “attackers” used homophobic slurs, told him that “this is MAGA country” and most importantly, that in an area with a heavy presence of surveillance video cameras, there was no footage of the alleged incident.

Smollett also claimed that the assailants poured bleach over him and tied a rope around his neck.

The story stunk from the beginning but once again, the media rushed to judgment in order to attack Trump and all of his supporters as white supremacists.

But as Mark Twain once put it: ‘A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes’ and those shoes are now kicking Smollett right in the ass.

This week, police arrested two Nigerian brothers who they traced the purchase of the rope to and they quickly sang that Smollett paid them for their participation in the orchestrated “hate crime” which like so many others, have turned out to be complete hoaxes.

How bad is it looking for Smollett? Even CNN has now admitted that it was a hoax – although in typical fashion, they will find some way to blame it on Trump.

Looks like the jig is up for Jussie who has hired a defense attorney and could be facing prison time for this despicable scam.
