Independent Senator Bernie Sanders is officially running for president again as a democrat. One of the conditions the Democratic Party had to let this commie back in is that he must be completely full of crap. To fulfill those contractual obligations, Sanders said that people can’t judge a candidate based on age and gender and then turned around to announce that his pick for VP would be based on age and gender.
Sanders announced his candidacy on Tuesday and in an interview with Vermont Public Radio said this:
“We have got to look at candidates, you know, not by the color of their skin, not by their sexual orientation or their gender and not by their age. I mean, I think we have got to try to move us toward a non-discriminatory society which looks at people based on their abilities, based on what they stand for,” Sanders proclaimed.
Well of course Sanders is going to say that. He’s an old white dude running in a party that hates old white dudes.
Not long after making a statement that “we” can’t judge candidates on their age or gender, he did an interview on The Young Turks. He was asked what attributes he will look for in a VP and his answer was hilarious.
“I think we would look for somebody who is maybe not of the same gender that I am, and maybe somebody might be a couple of years younger than me and somebody who can take the progressive banner as vice-president and carry it all over this country to help us with our agenda, and help us to rally the American people,’ said Sanders.
You got that? Don’t judge Sanders because he’s old and male, but he’s going to judge his VP candidate on age and gender. The democrats are very pleased with his level of bullshitting and they’ll be even happier with this:
In his initial statement, Sanders basically said that “we” have to reject identity politics, but in the Young Turks interview he identity politicked the shit out of it.
“Yes, yes, we have been criticized, correctly so, for running a campaign that was too white and too male-oriented, and that is going to change. We are going to have a very very diverse campaign staff, and we’re going to do a better job of reaching out to every community in this country,” Sanders said.
According to Sanders, judging someone based on their race, age, or gender is bad because it’s ability that really matters, but he’s going to pick his VP and campaign staff based on their non-male, non-whiteness. It’s not easy being this full of shit.
Hidden in this mountain of crap is a clue as to who Sanders will ultimately choose as his running mate, should he make it that far. He says his VP will be someone who is younger than him and more female. He’s picking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She’s young, female, and a follower of his socialist insanity. Mark my words, she’s his pick.
Sadly, being full of shit is the least bad thing about Bernie; he’s a f*cking communist! He can dress up his communism anyway he wants, but it doesn’t make it not communism. Then again, thanks to Bernie all democrats are now commies so maybe his biggest problem is he has too much competition this time around.
