Another member of the vaunted Democrat freshman class of 2018 has made her mark with disgusting comments that show just how radicalized that the party has become during the Trump presidency.
During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon who is a political neophyte caused a stir when she launched into an unhinged diatribe during which she compared U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents who have been constantly demonized while performing a thankless job to – you guessed it – the Nazis.
It is just the latest incident in which a congressional Democrat has played the Hitler card to attack the no-nonsense immigration policies of the Trump administration because nothing is quite as totalitarian as enforcing the nation’s immigration laws.

A Democratic congresswoman likened border security officials following Trump administration protocols to people following orders in Nazi Germany.
Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (D., Penn.), speaking Tuesday at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on the administration’s policy on separating children at the border, said she was struck by what she called the “denial of humanity” to illegal immigrants.
“When you say that the cause of migration is legal loopholes or bad judicial decisions, rather than the dire conditions of violence and poverty in these people’s home countries that’s literally driving them from home, I think it’s easier to slam the door against these kids and these families,” she said. “This hearing is a recognition and an insistence that on that humanity … a recognition that just following orders is no more an excuse today than it was back in Germany.”
The euphemism of “following orders” is commonly used in reference to those who collaborated with the Nazi regime in the 1930s and 1940s.
Not only are Scanlon’s comments a disgrace unbecoming of a member of Congress but begs the question of why a woman who has only been a member of the House Of Representatives for long enough to grab a cup of coffee happened to end up as the vice chair of the Judiciary Committee – seriously!

Scanlon’s ignorant and hateful words when put into the context of her fellow freshmen radicals like Rashida “impeach the motherf*cker” Tlaib, virulent anti-Semite Ilhan Omar and of course the incomparable “boss” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez show that Democrats have no desire to govern but rather engage in grandstanding and trying to outdo each other for the most extreme sound bite.
Once again though we have the Nazi analogy which is not only indicative of the gross historical ignorance of liberals and other low-information types but continues to trivialize the Holocaust and all of those who were murdered by the real Nazis: including children.
Not that they ever bother reading anything but the political left should pick up a copy of William L. Shirer’s definitive historical account The Rise And Fall Of The Third Reich and devote some serious time to get through it.
Even though it was published in 1960, Shirer’s exhaustive book is still the definitive work on Nazi Germany – although Richard J. Evans’ more recent trilogy is also notable – and if one wants to understand that America under President Donald Trump has nothing in common with that dark era they must acknowledge real history instead of the cartoon version that only exists in their own minds.
America is less than two months into the Democrat-controlled House reign and it is already a circus of shame thanks to the likes of Rep. Scanlon and her fellow unqualified charlatans who were elected based on identity politics and not experience.
