Does this count as Muslim-on-Muslim violence? After weeks on anti-Semitism Ilhan Omar has now turned her hatred on Barack Obama. The Minnesota Rep. has accused the former president of being a murderer. Hating Jews is obviously acceptable in the Democratic Party, but hating Obama is absolutely intolerable. As dumb as it sounds this may be the thing that ends up bringing Omar down.
Politico did a lengthy profile on Omar and this was one of the gems hidden within:
…Omar was fed up—not so much with Trumpism, or with politics in general, as with the Democratic Party.
As she saw it, the party ostensibly committed to progressive values had become complicit in perpetuating the status quo. Omar says the “hope and change” offered by Barack Obama was a mirage. Recalling the “caging of kids” at the U.S.-Mexico border and the “droning of countries around the world” on Obama’s watch, she argues that the Democratic president operated within the same fundamentally broken framework as his Republican successor.
“We can’t be only upset with Trump. … His policies are bad, but many of the people who came before him also had really bad policies. They just were more polished than he was. And that’s not what we should be looking for anymore. We don’t want anybody to get away with murder because they are polished. We want to recognize the actual policies that are behind the pretty face and the smile,” said Omar.
There you have it: According to Omar, Obama is polished murderer with a pretty face. This should send shockwaves through the Democratic Party who view Obama as their messiah. This may not be racist like if a Republican said it, but it’s certainly the liberal equivalent of heresy. Democrats couldn’t bring themselves to condemn Omar for her glaring anti-Semitism, but I bet they’d pass a resolution admonishing her for speaking ill of Saint Obama.
Omar is of course wrong about Obama being a murderer for the drone strikes on his watch. Him blowing the shit out of Muslim terrorists was the only thing he did in 8 years that didn’t suck donkey balls. She may be onto something with the “pretty face” line however. I don’t think Obama is pretty, but he looks better than that linebacker he’s married too, plus I get the impression that he’s the woman in the relationship.
Omar is also correct in saying that Obama’s “hope and change” was a crock of shit. Obama was hoping things would change, but he was too lazy and inept to make that happen. This is something everyone knows, but democrats aren’t supposed to say it out loud.
What’s astounding here, and will probably have democrats more furious than the “murderer” thing, is that Omar is the first person on the left to acknowledge that Obama put kids in cages. The false liberal narrative is that Trump’s immigration polices are inhumane and unprecedented. The truth is, those pictures circulating of kids in cages came from when Obama was running the show. Omar is risking her political career by admitting to this.
Obviously the biggest crime committed by Omar is her comparing Obama to President Trump. In addition to worshipping Obama as a god, democrats are convinced Trump is the devil, so putting them on equal ground is not just sacrilegious, it’s a deadly sin punishable by excommunication.
Omar can get away with vile anti-Semitism, but even her liberal privilege won’t save her ass for attacking Barack Obama. There are some lines that democrats can’t cross and Ilhan Omar just career-suicide bombed the hell out of that line.
