“No blacks allowed” is racist and segregationist, but apparently “no whites allowed” is inclusive and progressive. At meeting to discuss the upcoming mayoral election in Savanah, Georgia white reporters were banned because the black candidates didn’t want whitey to know what they were up to. I guess maybe the secret plan is to re-segregate the South and it would be a shame if the white man caught wind of it before the black democrats can implement it.
Here’s a real thing that happened in the United States in 2019, as reported by The AP:
Organizers of a meeting to discuss an upcoming mayoral race in Georgia barred reporters from attending — unless they were African-American.
The Wednesday meeting at a church in Savannah was held to try to unite the city’s black community behind a single candidate for mayor in the Nov. 5 election. Signs at the door said “Black Press Only!”
White reporters were denied entry, while at least two black reporters and the publisher of a local African-American newspaper were allowed inside…
The deal is, Mayor Eddie DeLoach is seeking reelection in the fall and because he is the first white mayor Savanah has had in a generation, the blacks of the city need to find a way to get rid of him. As you can see, there was a perfectly good explanation for why they banned white people from the meeting.
Here’s my favorite part about this story:
Van Johnson, a Savannah city councilman and one of three black mayoral candidates to have announced campaigns so far, attended the Wednesday meeting at Bolton Street Baptist Church. Johnson said afterward he relayed “my vision for an inclusive Savannah, a progressive Savannah.”
So at a meeting in which white people were banned he was laying out his vision for inclusivity? I couldn’t have made that up if I tried. This is like proclaiming a belief in the sanctity of human life while performing a third-trimester abortion.
When asked about the absurdity of talking about inclusion at a meeting that whites were banned from attending, Johnson responded like this:
“It’s not my meeting. Again, I was asked to come give a statement, and so I came and I gave a statement,” Johnson said.
If you attend a neo-Nazi rally, that’s an implied endorsement for neo-Nazism. If you go to communist party gathering, that’s an implied endorsement for communism. How is it any different when someone goes to a meeting that bans whitey? That’s a rhetorical question, because there is no difference. This guy is clearly fine with the “no whites allowed” policy of the meeting.
What do you think the reaction would be if a white politician spoke at a meeting that banned blacks? Well, a white Republican, because obviously a democrat wouldn’t face any scrutiny for endorsing segregation and racism.
Somehow, Johnson made thing worse. In speaking with WTOC he told this lie:
Johnson was asked if he would attend a meeting where only white members of the media were allowed in.
“If I was invited to a meeting, and I’m sure I will be, if I am, I will go there,” replied Johnson.
So he’s sure he will be invited to a “whites only” meeting and he’ll gladly attend? I’m calling bullshit.
Johnson then explained the real reason why whitey was banned from the meeting:
“I think part of the reason that we’re in this place of distrust and tension, I think we’re in need of leadership to help bring the people together, and certainly as the mayor of this city, I will attempt to bring people together,” Johnson said.
It appears that white people were banned because back people don’t trust ‘em. And yet it’s racist when a white person locks the car door at an approaching black man or a white woman clutches her purse a little tighter around black people.
The only thing shocking about this story is the The AP actually reported it. Generally speaking leftist racism and hatred isn’t that newsworthy. Now if it had been a meeting that banned black reporters, that would would have been huge. Well, if it was a meeting of white Republicans because obviously democrats get a free pass on things like this.
