White Students Accused Of Racism For Kneeling During Spanish Version Of ‘Achy Breaky Heart’

When the left is stretching this hard to find some racism to be outraged over, it’s a hint that maybe racism isn’t as much of a problem as they’d like it to be. This outrage comes because some white students at a school dance kneeled during a Spanish-language version of Billy Ray Cyrus’ insipid hit Achy Breaky Heart. I could see being outraged over students liking the song but this is ridiculous.

WGN reports:

Students at Marist High School are upset after a viral video showed white students kneeling during a Spanish song at the homecoming dance.

A Latinx student, junior Elizabeth Pacheco, recorded the moment and posted it on social media. The video showed students taking a knee during the Spanish version of Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Achy Breaky Heart.”

A portion of the students said they felt disrespected when the white students took a knee during the song.

Latinx? Also, “a portion of the students?” What portion? This one Latinx?

Here’s the video that has a portion of the students up in arms:

“If you love our food, ethnic fashion, and energy so much… why do you resent us. How would you like it if we kneeled to your country music?” Pacheco asked with the video.

She does realize that Achy Breaky Heart is a country song, right? Also, I’m pretty sure nobody would give a shit if she kneeled during any song.

It turns out Latinx Pacheco doesn’t have to worry about this racial outrage because:

“We respect and foster diversity, equity, and inclusion for all and want every student to succeed by feeling valued, seen, and connected. We as a school promote cultural diversity and are providing professional development on cultural competency for staff and students,” said the school in a statement.

The school also said they are investigating what happened at the dance and will address when it’s appropriate.

The school is going to investigate students kneeling during Achy Breaky Heart? This is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard of.

This is most definitely not an example of racism and if the school wants to save some time investigating, they should read Def-Con News. The thing is, “Spanish” is a language, not a race, ethnicity, or nationality. It comes from Spain, which is in Europe, making it a European language, or as the left likes to say a “Eurocentric colonizer” language.

The students weren’t taking a knee for the Mexican national anthem or some kind of Hispanic heritage tribute, they were down for a Spanish-language version of Achy Breaky Heart. The only things they were possibly disrespecting was either Spanish or Billy Ray Cyrus. Either way, that ain’t racist.

Also, as we learned with Colin Kaepernick’s kneeling during the American National Anthem, it was not to disrespect the flag but rather to demand criminal justice reform. Kneeling isn’t about what it appears to be, according to the left, so these students kneeling could have been to protest fish stick day in the cafeteria. Then again, that may be racist against fish sticks.
