With all of the focus lately on Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is feeling left out so she ramped up her crazy to get the spotlight back. Showing a complete lack of understanding how the US government works, she says that Donald Trump should be impeached for the GOP tax cuts. Putting that another way, she believes that the President of the United States should be removed from office for a bill that was passed by both chambers of Congress. She’s back, baby!
Here’s AOC’s latest idiocy courtesy of a Yahoo! News podcast:
When asked what the “top three” offenses would be if she were drafting articles of impeachment against Trump, @AOC said “Number 1 is emoluments.” https://t.co/5rQWJ24ElL via @isikoff, @dklaidman, skullduggerypod pic.twitter.com/R08p8kugIN

This starts out dumb and just keep getting dumber. AOC was asked if president Trump enforcing existing immigration law was an impeachable offense. Naturally she thought it was, but then said there were tons of other things Trump could be impeached for.
“I support impeaching this President,” said Ocasio-Cortez. “There’s just so many things.”
AOC was then asked if she were drafting Articles of Impeachment, what would she put in for the reason. She then offered her top 3:
“Number one is emoluments. It’s always been emoluments. I think it’s always been about that for me,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
Given her sheer ignorance of all things, who thinks she has any idea what the “emoluments clause” actually is? Basically it says the anyone holding office can’t accept a title of nobility or gifts from foreign kings. Has Trump done this? Is he the Archduke of Kazakstan? I feel like it would have been on the news.
“I think two would be tax fraud and number three,” said Ocasio-Cortez.
At that point AOC froze and couldn’t think of anything. After a long uncomfortable pause, the hamsters in her head started running on the wheel again. She didn’t actually say what her #3 reason was but did say:
“Man, number three? I mean if there’s an investigation on this, I think this is pretty potent,” Ocasio-Cprtez said?
An investigation of what? Notice that at this point, her #3 reason to impeach Trump is based on there being an investigation into something, not anything that has been proven. The fact that she can’t even articulate what that thing is, is another reason why this is a seriously idiotic reason to impeach a POTUS.
Later, one of the podcast hosts tried to get AOC to explain what she means about accusing the President of tax fraud. Her response was staggeringly stupid.
“There’s just so much. The census, I can’t even, the tax bill. It’s like what, like there’s just so much,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
You got that? According to AOC Trump including a question of citizenship on the census and the GOP tax cuts are tax fraud and grounds for impeaching the President. How is it possible for someone to be this stupid? A better question is, how does someone this stupid get elected to Congress?
On top of being dumb, this shows a profound lack of understanding on AOC’s part of how our government works. The “tax bill” of which she speaks was passed by both the House and the Senate before it went to the President’s desk for signing. What she’s describing is the process in which laws are passed in this country as laid out by the US Constitution. Even if the Supreme Court should decide that this law is unconstitutional, the President committed no crime by doing what he’s supposed to do.
To recap, here are the reasons why AOC says Trump should be impeached:
For enforcing the law, which is one of his duties as President.
For enriching himself with gifts and titles of nobility from foreign kings, which he didn’t do.
For tax fraud, which AOC describes as conducting a census and passing a law, two things that are part of the President’s duties.
In reality, what AOC has said is that Trump should be impeached for lowering taxes. I get it that lowering taxes seems like a crime to democrats, but it’s not. You can’t get rid of a president for performing his duties and escercising his power under the Constitution, but there’s plenty of ways to unseat a Congresswoman for being a dumbf*ck. AOC might want to watch out.
