You know MoveOn.org, right? They are the stupid lefty group that distributes hysterical petitions in a sad attempt to push their anti-American agenda. What many people may not remember however was that they were originally formed to keep Bill Clinton from being impeached. In something that falls between irony and a complete lack of self-awareness, Move On is demanding that President Trump be impeached immediately. And yes, there’s a petition.

If you follow the link to the petition, Move On says:
In the United States, no one is above the law. Congress must begin impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump immediately for his abuse of power and violation of public trust.
Bill and Hillary Clinton are above the law. Those two rotten motherf*ckers have committed more crime than all illegal immigrants combined. I think what Move On meant to say was that no one on the right is above the law, even when they haven’t committed a crime of any kind like President Trump.
Obviously with the release of the Mueller report yesterday there is definitive proof that President Trump hasn’t done anything wrong so Move On is accusing him of the vague crime of being disliked by crybaby liberals:
Donald Trump and those around him have sought to undermine the institutions of our democracy in ways we’ve never seen before.
I looked it up and seeking to undermine institutions is both not a crime nor an impeachable offense. It’s also something Trump hasn’t done or even a real thing.
None of that matters to Move On and they are calling on Congress to undo the will of the American people:
…Congress must now live up to its constitutional obligation and begin impeachment proceedings of Donald Trump.
We will not treat this as normal. And politicians in Washington must not continue to conduct business as usual. Everyone in Congress must look in the mirror and decide how they will fulfill their oath to defend our Constitution—and which side of history they want to be on.
The only people in Congress that would consider impeaching President Trump for no particular reason are democrats and democrats want to ban gun ownership, silence free speech, and suspend due process. Perhaps these are the wrong folks to demand they fulfill their oath to defend the Constitution.
Because the left hates it when they don’t get their way, Move On threw in a threat to anyone who doesn’t do their bidding:
If they fail to do so, millions of MoveOn members across the country will hold them accountable.
So if democrats don’t impeach Trump, MoveOn.org members are going to vote for Republicans? Okay, that sounds fine.
The most ridiculous thing about this is that Move On was founded in 1998 to keep Bill Clinton from being impeached for lying under oath about his shameful sexual behavior. As we all know, Move On failed to stop Clinton’s impeachment and they’re going to have even less success in getting Trump removed from office.
The special counsel report on Bill Clinton showed that he lied under oath, which is an actual crime, and he was disbarred, fined, and impeached. The special counsel report on Trump showed that he didn’t collude with the Russians or obstruct justice, which are exonerations of actual crimes, and Trump will not be impeached. See how that works?
MoveOn.org’s original purpose was that Congress should ignore Bill Clinton’s crimes and “move on.” Now that the Mueller report is out, it’s time they took their own advice and find something else to bitch about.
