There was almost a mass shooting at a synagogue near San Diego on Saturday. As you are probably aware California has the toughest gun control laws in the country and for some weird reason those unconstitutional infringements did not stop a crazy asshole from getting a gun and walking into a place of worship to open fire. There was an armed man in the synagogue who returned fire and scared the gunman off however, saving countless lives. Once again, every liberal narrative about guns is busted.
Fox News reports that 19-year-old John Earnest entered the Chabad of Poway Synagogue in Poway, CA, about 20 miles north of San Diego Saturday morning. He was armed with what police have described as an “AR-type assault rifle.” It’s hard to say what this loser actually had, but California has banned “assault riles” for quite some time. It’s probably hard for liberals to believe that someone who would shoot innocent people in a synagogue would also ignore gun control laws.
Earnest reportedly didn’t say a thing and simply opened fire. He shot 4 people, including the rabbi and a woman who later died. The carnage would have been much worse but an off-duty Border Patrol agent happened to be a member of the Synagogue and also happened to be carrying a firearm. The unnamed BP agent returned fire and scared Earnest off. The agent ran after him and put some lead in the shooter’s car as he was fleeing.
Not long after, police pulled Earnest over and he surrendered.
Without the presence of a good guy with a gun, this shooting would have been a much bigger tragedy and the tough gun laws of California did absolutely nothing to prevent it. Liberals tell us that “commonsense gun safety laws” take dangerous weapons out of the hands of dangerous people and that is obviously not true. The left also argues that good guys with guns can’t stop bad guys with guns, which is one of the dumbest things they say.
President Trump offered condolences for the victims and praise for the hero who stopped this shooting from being a major catastrophe.

The thing is, Swalwell gave President Trump crap for offering thoughts and prayers, but moments earlier, he did the same exact thing.
Houses of worship are supposed to be safe havens in our communities. However, with unrestricted weaponry in America, they are no longer. Mourning those lost today in Poway, CA and praying for those who have been injured. We will honor them with action.

Let’s see if we have this right: Trump is responsible for the shooting because he offered prayers for the victims, but Swalwell is courageous for offering prayers for the victims? It’s hard to be that full of shit, but democrats have some expertise in this area.
Anti-gun nuts are obviously scrambling to exploit the Poway synagogue shooting to promote their unconstitutional gun control agenda, but all this narrowly averted tragedy proves is that every thing they say is a lie. Gun control laws do not stop bad people from doing bad things and the best defense against a madman with a gun is a good guy with a gun.
Thankfully there was a law enforcement officer on the scene who was able to carry a concealed weapon because California generally doesn’t allow average people to exercise their 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. I guarantee that if people could more easily get a concealed carry permit, there would be less attempted mass shootings in California. Potential mass shooters are cowards and they would never select a target if they thought there was a better than average chance that the place was full of people carrying concealed weapons.
