Los Angeles County Sheriff Closes All Gun Stores

The people of Los Angeles County just got their right to keep and bear arms ripped away from them. The LA County Sheriff has ordered all gun stores closed, calling them “non-essential” businesses. Not only won’t people be able to take possession of their legally purchased firearms, nobody will be amble to buy ammunition. According to the Sheriff, it’s okay because the cops will protect them.

Fox 11 reports:

In a sit-down interview with FOX 11, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva declared gun stores as nonessential businesses that will be forced to close.

One clear message that Villanueva is sending, is on gun stores.

“We will be closing them, they are not an essential function,” said Villanueva.

And here’s the very next thing that came out of this clown’s mouth:

“I’m a supporter of the 2nd amendment, I’m a gun owner myself,” Villanueva said.

If he were an actual supporter of the 2nd Amendment, he wouldn’t be denying people their right to arm themselves in a time of national crisis.

Villanueva used the old A Christmas Story “you’ll shoot you eye out” excuse to justify closing all the gun stores.

“Now you have the mixture of people that are not formerly gun owners and you have a lot more people at home and anytime you introduce a firearm in a home, from what I understand from CDC studies, it increases fourfold the chance that someone is gonna get shot,” said Villanueva.

What the CDC studies don’t mention is that the “someone” who gets shot is more often than not a criminal scumbag home-invader. The lack of a firearm reduces the ability to defend one’s family and home from marauders to almost zero.

The liberal logic of keeping people from being able to protect themselves when they need it most is complicated by Villanueva’s liberal math:

Villanueva told FOX 11 he’s adding 1,300 deputies to patrol, doubling the current amount, and in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in jail, he has released 10% of the inmate population from county jails, 1,700 nonviolent offenders with misdemeanor sentences that were up within 30 days.

1,300 deputies versus 1,700 scumbags doesn’t add up to public safety especially when people can’t get guns or ammo.

One of the biggest problems with this move is that thousands of Los Angeles County residents who recently purchased firearms will not be able to take possession of them. Gun stores in the county were jam-packed with people buying guns last week, but California has a 10-day waiting period. Everyone who bought a gun in the last 9 days cannot get their gun until LA lifts martial law because the places where they bought these firearms are no longer open and they can’t pick them up.

This move to shutter LA County gun stores also proves how pointless California gun control laws are. To purchase a firearm in California, you have to pass a gun safety test to prove you are competent with it. Sheriff Villanueva closed the gun stores because he says people are too stupid and irresponsible to own firearms so obviously the California gun safety test in completely ineffective.

How soon before LA, SF, and the whole state of California orders all privately own firearms confiscated? You know, to make people safer.
