If a scumbag with an illegally possessed firearm shoots people in a gun-free zone, you can bet your ass democrats will exploit the tragedy to take guns away from law-abiding people. It’s what they do, but they met their match in Colorado last night. At a vigil for the shooting at at STEM School Highlands Ranch a couple of democrats showed up and started pushing their gun control agenda, which prompted students to get and walk out.
Earlier this week two students at STEM school, opened fire on their classmates, killing 1 and injuring 8. On Wednesday night there was a vigil for the victims, or at least it was supposed to be a vigil. As Fox News reports, it was actually an orchestrated anti-gun rally.
About 2,000 people packed a high school gym Wednesday night to remember 18-year-old Kendrick Castillo, who was shot and killed trying to tackle one of the shooters at STEM School Highlands Ranch on Tuesday.
Authorities have credited Castillo and two classmates with stopping the attack. Eight others were injured in the shooting.
And then, like everything else, it all went to shit when the democrats showed up:

The two Democrats who spoke at the vigil were Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet, who is running for president, and Rep. Jason Crow, whose congressional district includes STEM.
The students went outside and held their own vigil, free from the ghoulish politicization of the democrats. Eventually they returned to the gym and let the shameless politicians know they didn’t appreciated being used as props for their unconstitutional agenda.
“STEM School students walked out of a vigil tonight after [Rep.Jason Crow & Senator Bennet] spoke. Students said their grief was being politicized. They later returned, took the mic, and some said they didn’t want to be used to promote gun control,” reported 9NEWS anchor Kyle Clark.
Another local reporter said the students were “frustrated, crying and angry” about the situation by the democrats who, “inappropriately politicized their trauma.”
It should come as no surprise that anti-gun group The Brady Campaign were the ones behind this sham vigil. Because of the shitty optics of this debacle they issued an apology:
“We are deeply sorry any part of this vigil did not provide the support, caring and sense of community we sought to foster and facilitate and which we know is so crucial to communities who suffer the trauma of gun violence,” said the Brady Campaign in a statement.
They gave students the mistaken impression that they would be honoring a fellow student who died and instead beat them over the head with a bullshit gun control lecture. What did they think was going to happen?
The worst part about all of this is that the facts of the shooting don’t lend themselves to the democrats’ gun control message at all. 2 assholes under the age of 21, armed with handguns, opened fire in a school. What fancy new liberal gun law would have stopped this from happening? It’s already illegal to kill people. People under the age of 21 cannot legally purchase or possesses handguns. The school is almost certainly a gun-free zone. Is there an effective law that can stop criminals from breaking the law?
Democrats get deeply offended when people offer thoughts and prayers after a tragic shooting because according to them the best response is an assault on Constitutional rights. Wednesday night democrats found out that it’s actually much more offensive to push a gun control agenda when people are trying to express their thoughts and prayers.
